Absolutely fantastic little trattoria in the village centre. Friendly team of staff serving from a wonderful menu - throughly enjoyed every visit

We had a table for 4 booked and we all went for the Sunday 2 course set, which is amazingly priced at £18. We all thoroughly enjoyed the good, the portions were generous and the quality was excellent. The OG Napoli pizza was a standout, as was the arancini. Will absolutely be coming back.

Nice looking place, really friendly staff. Food is quite good as well. The pizzas were good but not quite there. The cheesy garlic dough pillows were glorious. If they came served with a small pot of marinara, they’d be perfection. Absolutely covered in garlic, piping hot. The Napoli was delicious, but this also had loads of minced garlic which seemed a bit much. I don’t think it needs it, especially as you can order aioli if you wanted. The truffle pizza was not that nice. The paste that served as the base for the pizza had a really odd flavour. It was slightly sweet. Couldn’t put my finger on it. Otherwise nice wine list, really nice looking cocktails etc Not many vegetarian options, which is fine, people just need to look at menu before booking etc

Booked table for 4 on a Saturday night. Was extremely busy but drinks and food order were taken fairly promptly. Food arrived in good time considering the restaurant was full. Main courses were excellent. We asked for dessert menu but had to wait a long time for dessert order to be taken, unable to attract the attention of the waiters (probably due to waiter station and bar being behind a wall which means staff can not see the main restaurant area). Desserts were good though! Recommend a visit.

Fantastic Neapolitan pizza, with creative and delicious sides and small plates. The location is perfect for summer days sat outside at the front with friends. It can book up quickly so make sure to ring for a reservation otherwise you may be struggling to get in.

We loved the old Italian that used to be here and were so sad when it closed, but the Social Trattoria has proved to be a worthy replacement! We’ve visited 3-4 times since it opened and the food is always great, both the hand made pasta and pizza (especially the burrata one!) are some of the best we’ve had. The staff are always friendly too. It’s such a great addition to Poynton and I hope it’s here for a long time to come!

Didn’t have a booking but the lady who served us said it wasn’t a problem and found us a nice quieter table near the back. You get to watch the pizzas being made and the pizza chef was more than happy to answer our questions. The bartender was lovely and helped El find a cocktail she’d like and even though it was busy, he took the time to make sure we all had a drink we were happy with. Such a hidden gem in Poynton!

Having visited twice this week I can highly recommend. If you are looking for a restaurant in Poynton look no further.. Fabulous decor, inviting, incredible service and delicious food! I no longer need to drive for truffle chips and will certainly be my new go to for dining with family, friends and clients.

This was the first time that myself and my wife have eaten at the Social Trattoria. We had a superbly cooked meal with a starter of bruchette. The pasta was cooked to perfection just how we like it, and we were told that all the pasta is freshly made on the premises. The menu is quite limited for traditional Italian dishes, but there is something there for everyone. The wine was good, and I ordered an Irish coffee to finish. It was absolutely perfect. The decor, tables and chairs give the place a modern and warm ambience. The service was excellent with very friendly and attentive staff. A wonderful addition to the Poynton food scene, and we will be returning very soon. Well done to everyone who work there.
