   Went for midweek lunch with a friend , we both had the 2 course menu deal and drinks . Very quiet with few customers while we were there, nice friendly staff . Food was very good if on the small portion side , we had the steak and ale pie . Have been here in the past and it has always been a good experience .

   I've been to this place many times over the years and under many circumstances and I've always been greeted so warmly by every member of staff which means a lot to me. The food is very tasty! Especially the Cajun chicken hanging kebab and the Scottish fillet steak was beautiful. I've brought my young daughters here for a drink stop in the Summer and they both love to play out the front on the impressive garden area.

   I've been coming here for years. The service and food has always been great, however tonight the service is absolutely shocking. We've been here an hour and half and only had our starters. The waitress is really stressed, due to pressure from customers. I suspect she's new. Not good for a Thursday going into the weekend. Might be time to go somewhere else for a bit. Normally get a lot more sauce. Just an eyeful tonight.

   I visited this place mid-week to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We didn't pre-book and were seated straight away, which was great. Even though there were only two members of staff, they went to the effort of putting a candle in my daughter's dessert and sang happy birthday to her, which was a lovely touch. However, the staff seemed a bit slow taking orders, likely because they were short-staffed. The food was nice, but nothing special, and the cocktails were mostly ice. I ordered from the midweek special menu but still got charged full price, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the 90s pop music playing suited both me and my girls. My partner did mention feeling a draft coming in through a boarded window, though. Overall, it was an okay experience but could use some improvements.

   Was put in a corner and left for over 30 mins no one asked if we wanted a drink had to go to the bar so that could get a drink and order our food. Food was very dry and over cooked did not have anything good about our experience and couldn’t wait to leave. Poor quality and service and everything over priced for what we received. Will definitely not be going back.

   This is a lovely place for a meal. The staff are very friendly and likeable. The food choices are many and varied. I went on a very busy night so service was a little slower than I would have liked but staff were clearly very busy and doing their very best.

   Friday night near empty, starters ok, Mains looked the part shame they didn't taste as good as they looked, I asked for gammon well done ( no white fat) arrived with flabby white fat sent back for more cooking they cut off fat and just cooked that, then even though I had a steak knife just couldn't cut the gammon. Another person had linguine with no taste at all, shame the place looks the part and food plated up nicely, sadly can't see us returning,

   After booking was so looking forwards to the visit, Arrived 7.30 Friday evening to hardley any other diners thought strange but there were 4 of us so someone to chat to, the starters arrived and were very nice, BUT the mains! I ordered gammon well done with fat brown it arrived with flabby white fat ( nicely presented) but so off putting , the server took it back were they proceeded to cut off fat and crisp it then back on plate! despite having a steak knife I couldn't even cut through the gammon turned it over looked like it hadn't even touched griddle/ grill, 1 other guest had Linguine said no taste at all, the 2 other guest's said their food was just OK, shame really, As my job was a chef before I retired maybe the chef needs reminding food needs to taste good as well as looking good,

   Amazing service today at chadderton bar and grill, food was exceptional everything fresh, nice and hot and tasted amazing. Cocktails were also refreshing and tasty, staff are friendly and welcoming. Thankyou for a great day. 5* service
