A great Italian restaurant conveniently located near South Kensington station. Service is quick and pleasant. Both arancini and pizza (margherita) were good! Judging by the pizza, the portion size is decent too. It seems like a family-run restaurant. I would happily come back here.

We were looking to have some decent pasta in Kensington south when my daughter literally walked in this restaurant almost by chance, somewhat defilate from the main hustle and bustle of South Ken tube station but extremely close to it. We had the calzone and the pappardelle with ragù. The calzone was the best I had in several years and certainly the best in the UK so far for me. Pappardelle were also exceptional since the pasta was perfectly al dente and the “ragout” (this is proper so we can call it with its proper name) was sublime, thickened by many hours on the stove at minimum heath, sweetness and tanginess perfectly balanced, first class meat and ingredients. A triumph really. An abundant helping of parmigiano reggiano dop was left on the table for us to abuse, and abuse it we did! Every single ingredient is of the highest standard and properly and lovingly cooked. To top it all off is the fact that they have a wood fired oven so the pizza is properly cooked in seconds to a very high temperature. Only another two places I know of in London who can pull this off ( and have reviewed before). Needless to say the staff is all Italian and exceptionally nice and welcoming. The metre Nicola is incredibly knowledgeable of his dishes and proud of his restaurant and very attentive to details and quality of ingredients. I highly recommend this place if you truly and sincerely want to taste the proper flavours of italy, and not a watered down version of our beloved culture. I won’t mention the value for money since I barely noticed that the whole lunch for two plus drinks was way below 60 quid, portions were titanic sized, and 25 quid to eat this well in South Kensington is unheard off ( had to take a doggy bag home for the pappardelle, this is probably the first time in my life I do this in an Italian restaurant, since I tend to eat it all… ) Please do yourself a favour and step into this temple to the cuisine gods and slow down for a few, chugging back what best nature can offer cooked to perfection. See you there!

Nice little Italian restaurant, staff was kind and helpful, food was good. We tried calzone and spaghetti, pretty large portions and all tastes good. Tiramisu is a must here! Coffee was traditional Italian dark roast, nothing exceptional. Not sure if it is below or above average pricing, but we spent around £35 per person.

Loved the food and decor. Music was rather loud when we arrived but they kindly turned it down for we could talk rather than shout. Very attentive service with helpful advice and did their best to cope with gluten free food. Real Italian lemon sorbet which was good to find. Tropical London prices.

If you want authentic Italian food in an atmosphere reminiscent of a quaint cafe in Italy, don't miss this hidden gem!!! The food was so delicious, the wine was pure Italian joy and the lemoncello was a delightful end to a fantastic meal.

Nice Italian restaurant and pizzeria, fairly priced for the area. The pizza is very good, thin and light. The carbonara is spot on, with guanciale and pecorino, proper. The fried calamari great too. All in all, we couldn't fault anything.

We happened upon this amazing intimate restaurant by chance and I couldn't be happier that we found it. To enter is to be transported to Italy. We started with olives, a bread basket, and bruschetta - all simple with quality ingredients. Then moved in to their award winning pizza - and the reason it's award winning becomes apparent with your 1st bite. We finished our meal with an incredible tiramisu and cafe americano. The service was attentive, but not rushed. I could not recommend Pappa Roma more!

Had starters, main and dessert. All were great. The starter was nice and fresh, the main was sumptuous, and the dessert delicate. Service was very helpful picking out matching wines. The decor is beautiful, however, the acoustics made it hard to carry a conversation with my party.

Amazing food and such friendly staff. Great great find in South Kensington. Extremely good value for money given the food and the location. One exception: I ordered the Pizza di Bosco which was absolutely delicious but overpriced at nearly £20... (even if it was award winning in 2017). That being said, I finished the whole thing Highly recommend
