   We like to go to La Famiglia several times per month, on our own, with family or friends. The staff are so friendly and attentive, the menu varied and food and wine always great. It’s a little gem in Hale village and was originally recommended by another restaurant owner so I knew it must be good!

   We booked a private room for my parent’s 60th wedding anniversary family meal. The experience was fantastic from start to finish. The food was the best Italian food I have tasted in a long time. Perfectly cooked and served by very friendly, efficient waiters. They catered to our every need which made for a very special enjoyable event. Thank you .

   An authentic Italian restaurant, so nice to find one close to where we were staying for a few days. A wide ranging menu to accommodate all dietary desires, with possibly the finest tiramisu; dark cacao, proper sponge to soak up good espresso and not too sweet - perfetto. We enjoyed chatting about with the owner over a leisurely dinner, swapping tales of fine Italian wines and Italian history. Absolutely recommended for a jolly good dinner.

   Such a lovely, warm and relaxed atmosphere as well as good food and generous portions; proper Italian hospitality. Have just been for a big family birthday meal and couldn't have been nicer, especially with young children. Staff so friendly. This is always my go to italian in the village, have personally never understood why people opt for Cibo, i have always found it a little pretentious and the food average.

   Must have picked a bad night. So disappointed and it ruined my husband and my evening out. It was busy so made allowances for that but the customer service was shocking. Ended up leaving after an hour of waiting for our starters. Only got to eat a couple of Olives so can’t comment on the food. My complaint is poor communication we were left alone. The bottle of wine we ordered didn’t arrive but the young waiter noticed we did not have any drinks or food for that matter on our table and so took a second order for the wine. It arrived unlike the food. The icing on the cake was watching two tables of four who arrived about 40 minutes after us get their starters. I asked where ours were and was told there had been a problem but it was coming. I had only ordered olives as my starter. Then we waited a further 10 mins (the Olives were brought out after asking) but the cod cheeks were no where to be seen. We decided to pay for the drinks we had and leave. I explained that I was disappointed that they had not communicated earlier that they had a problem with the starter and was told by the same person who told me there was a problem that there wasn’t a problem. So he lied I guess. By now I was really fed up with his attitude. They charged us £25 for a bottle of house wine that we had only had one glass each out of. So I asked for the cork to take it with us as was not going to pay £25 for a couple of glasses of cheap wine. (Googled it a £4 bottle of house wine for £25!! ) We had had two glasses of champagne whilst waiting for our table so paid for those too. Where is customer service now a days. First visit to this restaurant and nothing about the service has persuaded me to go back and give it another try. Oh well you live and learn.

   We were booked in to meet relatives for lunch. They were travelling and were massively late. La Famiglia couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. They kept our booth for us for the afternoon and wouldn't take payment for the drink we had whilst waiting until we returned later and they put it on the final bill. The service and food was fabulous when the family finally arrived. 100% will be going back.
