The staff are amazing , very helpful especially if it’s your first time here. They staff clean your used plates whenever you finish eating to keep the tables clutter free. The food was very good especially for the price. We paid £12.95 per person and it was two of us. We didn’t end up refilling our plates with savoury food as the things we already got were very filling and very nice. I specifically enjoyed all of their noodles they have several different kinds, as well as the egg fried rice. The beef in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken and the chicken curry were really nice. As my husband and i don’t eat pork we didn’t try any of their pork options but the pork ribs did look quite nice also. I wasn’t a fan of the salt and pepper chicken wings they were a little bit plain in my opinion. This buffet had a very good fruit selection and all of the fruits were very nice indeed. The ice cream is a must!!!! The vanilla flavour of it is extremely nice , not all ice creams have this nice vanilla flavour but this one does for sure. The place itself is basic looking with a little bit of chinese decor, isn’t a place you’d go to to take pictures but is definitely a great lunch spot

CHINA BUFFET has been located in China Town Manchester for over 20 years even through the shut down in 2020 they are still in operation today. This was one of the 1st buffets I ever came to many years ago and I still return when we are in Manchester. The owner is always welcoming and has never forgotten us its just like coming home. All the staff are really friendly after every course your plates are removed quickly. Chefs have always cooked quality dishes. No this isn't the largest buffet your likely to come to but enough various dishes and choice to satisfy and enjoy. Fresh produce and protein guaranteed plus a great selection of fresh fruits, cakes, and icecream. Soup to start is awesome, main course I recommend the ribs, noddles, rice and beef in black bean sauce with spring rolls and to cap it off banana fritters, ice cream and fresh fruit. 100s come back to China Buffet weekly and many who have been coming for many years. We as always will definitely be coming back. In the pictures there's a price list which I feel is exceptionally value for money. Big thankyou to all the staff as it was great to see you all again we will see you all soon.

As good as buffet gets. Having seen some good reviews on social media we paid China Buffet a visit, a dated restaurant tucked away down a staircase, with good friendly service throughout and a very well maintained buffet due to constant staff attention. Classic Chinese flavours with Szechuan Style Pork, Mushrooms in Oyster Sauce and Chicken in Black Bean Sauce being notable mentions. Sauces had great texture and depth of flavour, Beef with Ginger and Spring Onion offered a freshness that I appreciated in contrast to other dishes. A special nod here to the Shredded Duck soup, which might be my all time top soup, strong umami flavours made this a standout. Quality of the meat in some dishes was poor, but vegetarian offerings were better than most. If you enjoy buffet as a way of sampling flavours this place is worth a visit.

For the price, there are plenty of options, and the dessert station is a nice bonus. There’s a great variety to choose from, including classics like salt and pepper prawns, pork chops in Cantonese sauce, chicken curry, duck pancakes on Sundays, and even banana fritters with ice cream. It’s a small spot, much like many of the classic places in Chinatown, so if you pop in at a peak time like 5pm on a weekend, it can get quite busy, so I would definitely plan around that ☺️ You get an hour to dine, but I found that was plenty of time as the station isn’t huge to get around. The staff were really attentive, and if you’re looking for an affordable buffet or some comforting food, this is a brill spot.

No vegetables, no duck just few fruits I will not recommend this. The staff don’t allow you to eat in peace.. they want to take the plate they waited for the crowd to leave then bring new food.. even white rice was missing I paid 14 pounds including water .. not worth it all

I read many of the reviews in this place so I thought I would give it a go. Early Evening visit, shown to a table very quick, you pay up front for your food and drink. It’s not a big place so a smaller choice than many others places. They had all the popular choices. Chilli soup was excellent. I tried bits of everything, all freshly cooked. The staff kept the place nice and clean, found them to be very polite. Will visit again.

This is a very tasty all you can eat Chinese! The place doesn’t look fancy and that’s because it isn’t. There are other all you can eats like ‘TOPS’ and ‘Cosmo’ where they seem more fancy looking but the food takes a bit of a hit at the same time and are a bit pricier. This place has great tasting food and a really good price, staff are very quick at bringing drinks and clearing tables. Good variety of foods and the majority is very tasty! Definitely recommended!

I went there on Saturday for lunch. There was a short queue and I waited for 10 mins until I was called in. Once seated, I was asked to pay for the meal which was £9.95 p.p. There were some selections for the appetizer, mains and dessert. Most all of the dishes were adjusted to British taste buds. I personally found the roast chicken, pork ribs, tofu with vegetables and pork chops were better compared to the other options. The soup options seemed a bit sad and the dessert options didn't seem appealing at all unfortunately. Great value for the price, though.

Had to que for about 20mins but dont let that put you off! the food was amazing all fresh and hot! staff were friendly. you do have to pay before you eat which we didnt know. A good choice of food would come back!! Ice cream was lovely too and for 13.95 a person you cant complain.

Fast and efficient service. Enjoyed the lunchtime buffet £8.95. Drinks extra. Friendly attentive staff who keep things flowing, topping up the food trays and clearing tables to allow new customers entering the restaurant.
