   Written by Kevin Martin Owner/chef is rude, ripped us off on a service charge and demanded to know why we weren’t eating in there (my wife and I shared a main). We ordered the kids dinner and had two beers. For some reason - despite the place being empty - he decided he deserved more of our money and added a 20% service charge to the bill with no explanation, nor is it on the menu. Will go to pizza express next time… ruined an impromptu treat for the kids after school. Avoid

   We were looking for something quick before going to the cinema, which is directly opposite. There was only one other customer (19:20 on a Wednesday evening), but we had heard good reports in the past so gave it a try. My pizza (Italian Top Gourmet, with Parma ham, rocket, parmesan and burrata) was very tasty and properly cooked in the wood-fired oven. My wife's calzone (ham & mushroom, with added pineapple - sorry) was also very good and cooked to perfection. The wine selection was limited, but adequate, and reasonably priced. The chef is a bit of a character and I can imagine the place being lots of fun when it's busier.

   One of the most loveliest local independent restaurants. Food is lovely and fresh, AMAZING PIZZAS! We have been at Bella Naples a few times, great atmosphere, Marcello is very welcoming and this restaurant is an asset to the area! 100% love this restaurant. AAA**** see you soon again+!

   Me and the Mrs were a little reluctant after reading some of the reviews on Google, but we decided to give it a go. We weren't disappointed. We really enjoyed the food. It was tasty, fresh, fairly priced and the staff were polite and helpful. All our food came out in good time. One suggestion to improve would be to modernise the menuwith some indicators so it clearly states what is vegetarian or not, what could be made to be vegetarian etc. Either way, we had a lovely evening and recommend Bella Naples to anyone who wants to try authentic fresh Italian food.

   Rosemary chips weren’t as described. The WHOLE order was stone cold, after a 40 minute delay. One of the seafood pizzas with gold leaf had no gold leaf on. My friend didn’t even eat her pizza. Really disappointed considering it had good reviews, but I was so gutted. For £60, with stone cold food, massive late delay, chips not as described “French fries”, pizzas not as described. Won’t be ordering from here again.

   We have been good customers over a long time. We overlooked a few faults with our orders during that time because these were minor and overall were happy with the quality. Last night however came the breaking point: we were shocked to discover that the 3 pizzas we ordered were badly burnt. We contacted the place and the guy kept saying these were not burnt but rather "baked well"! Not even the slightest acknowledgment of fault... That was enough to decide NEVER again we will buy from them. We rather make the trip to Luppolo Pizza Wanstead (from whom we buy pizzas occasionally)-- much better quality pizza and far superior professional and ethical standards (in light of the response we got last night). Photos herewith. Never seen a pizza with a hole burnt in it and someone still calling it "baked well". What was he thinking when he could see how bad the pizzas were and still boxing them for his customers...

   Order was late. Pizzas were cold, soggy and tasteless. Ingredients had fallen off them. One of the pizzas was supposed to be with parma ham (prosciutto) but was with regular ham instead. Cheapest products yet expensive pizzas. Restaurant staff wouldn't even bother to pick up the phone. Paid £25 for this rubbish. Complete disgrace.
