By far the worst Asda I've ever been in. I hate coming here at the best of times because it's so understaffed. I've done a full shop on a few occasions and been told to use the self checkout because none of them are open. I only come in here for the odd things now and came for a small bottle of jack Daniels for a Christmas present so didn't bother getting a trolley as I don't now and had my 7 month old in the pram. I get a few bits and head to the alcohol section. After walking off and heading to the self checkout I felt like some of the staff were starring at me funny and looking at the reviews it looks like I'm not the only one they make feel uncomfortable. I scanned my shop and looked over at the women standing there lifting the bottle up with the security tag on so she could remove it and she snapped at me "you need to pay first and then I remove it over here" I thought it pretty strange as I couldn't pay until she came over to approve it so I scanned it still staring at her with a confused look on my face she physically rolled her eyes after the till went of and had to come over anyway she took the tag of but looked really upset that she had to. Another women member of staff then walked to the self checkout I was at and started looking me up and down. I walked off very uncomfortable. Such a strange encounter it's like she thought I was going to do a runner with my baby in the pram for the smallest bottle of jack. She's worked there for a while so not really sure why she thought I'd be able to pay for it and then walk over to her. Final nail in the coffin for me the staff really make me feel uncomfortable everytime I go in there. I never get that feeling shopping anywhere else.

Incredibly rude staff in the cafe. I had a sandwich from another shop whilst my son ate the hot food from there and the woman working there shouted at me to say you can't eat that here. Literally shouting with venom. A polite reminder would've sufficed. Last time I go there.

Useless for EV charging as idiots in petrol cars keep parking in the spaces reserved for EVs. Whilst this model is hybrid electric, they're not charging. Asda, you should be policing this.

So I’ve just came back from Asda in Northwich, firstly arrived when it opened and arrived at the lottery counter. I normally cash my lottery tickets first thing and leave them with the cashier whilst I do some shopping as I understand they’ve just opened and need time to reboot the machines, now Sarah was serving and instantly she greeted me with ‘we’ve just opened and I haven’t even done my till but if there’s not enough in the till I can’t cash them’ now this was in a very abrupt manor! So I walked off to do my shopping and came back, Sarah began to have a attitude problem with me you could clearly see she’s had her back up since 7am, I advised her alittle empathy wouldn’t go a miss and customer service is key on ways to say things, she shouted a supervisor mid conversation, so the supervisor came young slim lad who was very polite I explained to him that for some reason she’s had her back up with me in being so abrupt, whilst I was explaining this to him she kept being abrupt and rude arguing with me when I was clearly being nice to the supervisor and explaining the situation she was saying things like ‘well if you think I have a attitude problem that’s your problem’ I was saying to the supervisor ‘see now you know what I mean in the way she’s treating a customer’ my advice to Sarah would be customer service doesn’t cost a dime and it’s just as easy to be nice to people customer satisfaction is key within customer service and if she doesn’t like her role there’s plenty of jobs out there that don’t require customer interaction….regardless if you hate your life it’s always best to smile through it!

Good supermarket but I take exception to having to go through the self checkout area when there are no staff checkouts open.

Went to buy a gin and the price on the shelf was incorrect. I was just told that £4 more expensive price and that was it didn't even look at the shelf and refused to offer to match the price. Very disappointed in the company Edit item was the Hendricks Neptune gìn as shown in the photo. Edit Edit: this complaint was ignored and price was wrong for over 2 weeks.

Arrived at tills with reasonably full trolley at about 7.30pm on Monday evening and no tills open, assistant at the till suggested I wait about 5 mins but was largely disinterested. This plus often having no trolleys available means I'll be shopping elsewhere in the future. Got what I needed from Aldi nearby and had forgotten how much cheaper you can buy items there compared to Asda and how much more focused their employees are.

Free parking for 4hrs, easy access for all - there are ramps, lifts and stairs. The Asda is close to town, so it's easy to access the town too. Situated in a lovely place by the canal, good for walks and lovely cafés, restaurants nearby.
