Although the price has increased. It's also relatively cheap. The food is also delicious and can be said to be of high quality and low price.

I don't like critising local businesses but this is another bad meal from yummys, you could say stop going there but it's the only local one open at lunch times. I'm a vegetarian so I don't expect miracles but this was sweet and sour vegetables and it looked and tastes bland and like somthing that was left in the bottom of the sink after doing the pots. This wasn't fried, it was just some overcooked veg chucked in a watery bland sauce, no pineapple and also contained half a dozen over cooked peas! Really! Chips we're OK, though not seasoned and pale and the rice was tasteless too which I'm used to so added more salt and msg to improve the flavour which it did. Yummys is cheap but I suppose u get what you pay for, if u want to spend your meal regretting buying and ordering it then go to yummys. Dragon city has a much better vegetarian choice and used VERY FRESH veg for thir dishes which is cooked to an excellent standard.

I wouldn’t suggest ordering Chinese food from yummys. We got the beef chow mein and regretted it, the noodles are too soft and flavourless, the only vegetables added are onions and beansprouts and those are in very small quantity. Probably a reheated meal from previous days. The battered sausage and chips on the other hand are possibly the best I’ve had anywhere in the country. If you’re going to eat here stick to the chip shop menu.

How this takeaway is rated so highly is beyond me. As seen in my photos, I ordered a Chicken Curry and a Chicken Fried Rice. What I got was some chicken, onions, peas and mushrooms, thrown on the side of some chicken fried rice in a polystyrene container and some paper soaked lovingly in curry sauce. I will not be ordering again. I paid £10 for this, and the majority of the curry sauce had all soaked into the paper!! What was left, however, didn't leave much to be desired. The chicken was rubbery and chewy, or 'slippery chicken' as I like to call it (typical cheap Chinese takeaway stuff) and for £10, the portion size was ridiculously small. If this had been on a food delivery app, I'd be asking for my money back. Lesson learned though.

Great food at a good price. The English chip shop food means everyone can dine with us, even the picky ones that do not like Chinese food. Both the Chinese dishes and chip shop food are cooked well

This has got to be one of the best Chinese/fish n chip shops in the UK. The portions are great, the price is good and the taste is unbelievable!! Having lived abroad for many years it's a real treat to taste proper Chinese takeout.

Awesome takeaway. I would definitely rate this as Shirebrook's finest! Chinese and English meals. Great menu and always lots of special meal deals. Prices are amazing. Food always prepared fresh - takeaway, call and collect, local delivery. Great food, great service, great prices. Quality all the way A1. Well done, Yummy :)

I always order the same meal and it always tastes amazing. Today I found that my sweet and sour chicken tasted like fish which was a huge disappointment. Im sure you wouldn't fry chicken and fish in the same fryer? I was very unhappy that I had to leave the meal that I was looking forward to.
