Been visiting Sushi Shop after a concert at the Royal Albert Hall tonight, so it was almost closing time. Despite that, the whole team was very kind and welcoming, even though they were probably ready to head home. Special mention to Sree, who was super nice and smiling at the tills. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area!

Service does not match the price or the social norms, went into the shop after my tennis, greeted the staff friendly as usual, didn’t receive any response. Several white customers came in after me and received beautiful greetings from both staffs. Makes you wonder. So, if you want to be treated like a human, make sure you are white.

We managed to get hold of the only table inside on a busy Sunday afternoon. The table has 10 or 12 chairs and you can share it with other customers. The place also has a few tables outside. Service was polite and pleasant. We tried some interesting bottled drinks and ordered over 100 pieces of sushi, Poke bowl, and Katsu chicken noodle dish for a group of 6. All arrived fresh and surprisingly fast. We all enjoyed our meal. The premises were clean. Would recommend for both eat-in and takeaway. Shame that even though it was 100% sure we were eating in (we have already gotten seats before ordering), all food was served in takeaway packaging, such unnecessary waste.

nice little spot right outside South kensignton if you are craving a quick sushi bite. not much seating for the amount of footfall there but that's par for the course in South ken

Impeccable sushi. I stopped off here to pick up a takeaway lunch to enjoy in the park on a sunny day. Don’t get me wrong, it’s much cheaper to opt for something like Wasabi, but what you get from the Sushi Shop is infinitely better in terms of quality. I got 2 types of maki rolls and a small portion of sashimi which costed around £20 in total. Everything I ordered wasn’t on the fridge shelf so was made to order. Being able to get freshly made sushi is another nice touch from the Sushi Shop.

A friend and I love to travel around for good food at a reasonable price in London. We both love sushi but very often the prices turn to be a bit much however, this places had a review on Google that said it was "The Best Sushi In London". Now with a claim like that, we had to check it out... and boy, were we disappointed. I will start of by mentioning the staff were very nice and my rating does not reflect their service. The food however.... I was 100% sold on the menu and the pictures that was next to the food.. but the food.. Oh man, the food! I have attached the receipt so you can see what we ordered and how much we payed... Everything that was supposed to be "Severed hot' was actually cold. Not ice cold, but not even luke warm. Just cold. I normally don't do this but I'll mention some specific items. Beef Tataki (Sashimi) - Over priced. Tasteless meat and the asparagus tasted not fresh, as if it were cooked and left out? Beef Cheese Yakitori - Cold. Would have been nice if it was at least warm Chicken Tsukune Yakitori - Cold. Tasted okay. Seared Beef Sushi - Same as the Tataki, tasteless meat. Yellowtail Ponzu - Actually really nice. Salmon Avocado chirashi - The Salmon, not only in this but the sushi set as well, did not taste fresh. Almost tasted like it was left out and not chilled or stored correctly and considering how much salmon was in the food we ordered.... The avocado seemed as it it were old as well. Overall, I was going to give this place a 2 star review but, this is what made me give it a 1 star. Part of the "Box for two" you get some cream cheese sushi. And one of them had a small hair on the underside of the sushi (pictured, though it maybe hard to see) and this was just... unbelievable. I will mention, we did not bring this to the attention of the server as at this point, we were done and just wanted to leave. Even if we got another set, the quality of the food would not change. We spent more than £130 for 2 people and though we were full, we were still unsatisfied with the quality of the food, which to me, when you are serving sushi should not be compromised in anyway. I would normally leave a review and return in a few months to see if there have been any improvements to a location but this time I think there was a cheaper sushi fast food store opposite the road I would rather visit.

UPDATE 2: We had to cancel our last order because the manager said they cannot accommodate removing sesame on an order despite having done so many times previously. It was very disappointing and the staff are mostly unaware of allergies. We are dropping our rating to 2 stars to reflect the dangers of not taking into allergies into account and ignoring our request. --- UPDATE 1: In our last order, the sushi was really fresh and amazing. We still had to call them for our sesame allergy and they made sure the sushi did not have sesame seeds around. From 4 to 5 stars now. --- This is a great place for Japanese sushi takeaway. It is of higher quality than most places we've tried as they make the sushi on order. Having said that, sometimes you can get pre-made stale sushi that has been waiting in the fridge around 5pm as orders slow down. I'm giving 4 stars because freshness is not guaranteed and handling of allergies are not available online. We have to call and tell them we are allergic to sesame and hope they prepare fresh sushi.

I was a loyal client since their creation in Paris. I never have been disappointed but... recently the fish (High Kensington) is not well chopped and the fish is chewy. I got thick and solid nerves and skin in my order. I already spoke to one of team member about that but they don’t take care of their customers. Guys! We pay sushi for over £120 per month and we deserve a lot of attention. I was working for SushiShop in Paris when I was a young adult and I know how they care about chopping, preparations and choosing good ingredients. Now it’s worst! It’s my last time now. Adieu SushiShop!
