I recommend this venue for people with allergies (gluten free / celiac / other). We were reassured that there would be no cross contamination. The food came quickly and everything met expectations. I didn't try the wine list. I would also recommend booking early in the day as it was very busy at 7 and we were (politely) reminded that the table would be needed back for the next booking. There is a separate function room.

Lovely restaurant and ambience with good service. Great choice of menu and something for everyone. Two points that were disappointing. Our table. We were a party of 7, where 4 people were forced into the same dining space that three people should normally occupy, rather than put an end seat on or arrange it better. Second point. I had seafood linguine. Pasta and sauce was very good. Seafood was a let down. The chef either didn’t check my meal or didn’t care. Of the 5 clams in my meal, 3 were closed. Same with the mussels, I sent most of the mussels back as they were closed - those that weren’t, were overcooked That dish should never have left the kitchen with so much dead seafood.

Four of us visited the restaurant last night (31st October) and, to begin with, we were actually having a lovely evening. The atmosphere was nice and the food itself tasted great, we ordered two arancini starters, then mains including a linguine pescatori, a carbonara, and two rigatoni pesto dishes. Everything seemed enjoyable at the time, and we all left saying how nice the food was. Unfortunately, around eight hours later, I woke up extremely unwell and was being sick throughout the morning. The other members of our group also felt ill, which was very concerning given we had all eaten there the same night. I don’t have any allergies, I’m rarely ever sick, and I hadn’t eaten anything else unusual that day, so it was very out of the blue. I decided to call the restaurant this morning to inform them not to complain or demand anything, but simply to make them aware in case there was a potential issue with one of the dishes. However, the response I received was shockingly rude and dismissive. The man I spoke to (who I believe was the manager) immediately said that no one else had called to report anything, implying I was lying or exaggerating. He showed no concern at all, no willingness to listen, and definitely no apology. Instead, he went on about how all the food is fresh and suggested that it couldn’t possibly be anything to do with them. I explained again that I wasn’t trying to make accusations, I just thought it was important to let them know what had happened in case other customers experienced the same thing. His attitude, however, made that impossible. He was extremely defensive and quite frankly obnoxious. I was offered a “drink on the house” next time, but after that conversation there absolutely won’t be a next time. I genuinely didn’t want to leave a negative review I would have much preferred to resolve this directly and calmly over the phone. But the manager’s behaviour was so unnecessarily rude and dismissive that I feel people should be aware. When customers become very unwell after dining somewhere, the least you expect is some courtesy, concern, and professionalism not to be spoken to as if you’re making things up. It’s a shame because the food itself was lovely, but good food means nothing if it’s followed by hours of illness and terrible customer service. Clearly, the management has lost sight of what it means to care about their customers. Money and pride seem to have come before basic respect and responsibility. I certainly won’t be returning, and I hope others think twice before visiting too.

What an incredible place! From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth of the staff and the owners who truly care about their guests. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome and leaves with a full belly and a big smile. The food is absolutely outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions that make sure you never leave hungry. Every dish tastes like it’s been made with love, and you can tell how much pride the team takes in what they do. It’s rare these days to find a restaurant where the owners are so hands-on, personally checking in to make sure everything is perfect. That level of care really sets this place apart. Highly recommend for anyone who loves amazing food, great service, and a true family atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back

**Review for Sorella Restaurant, Uppermill, Oldham** I recently dined at Sorella in Uppermill, Oldham, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I ordered the lamb orecchiette, expecting a flavorful dish, but I was quite disappointed. The dish tasted watery and surprisingly spicy, with almost no lamb flavor coming through. It was as if the main ingredient was missing altogether. My mother had the lasagne, which was even more of a letdown. It was so overly salty that it was nearly inedible. We could barely take more than a few bites before giving up on it entirely. To their credit, the staff did ask us what was wrong and offered to change our dishes. However, by the time this was suggested, the other members of our party had already finished their meals, so it felt too late to bother with a replacement. We decided to take the food home instead, but what really upset us was being charged full price for meals that were clearly not up to standard. While the service was polite, I can't say we left satisfied. Paying full price for such a disappointing experience felt unfair. I hope Sorella can take this feedback to heart and make improvements, as I would hesitate to return based on this experience.

Really was looking forward to going here and heard a few good reviews. Unfortunately is was a disaster and the girl who was allegedly the owner was rude and aggressive. Food was mediocre but after nearly an hour for a starter I just ate it and they clearly like rock salt as it was drowning both starter and the main. Won't be back but shame as nice surroundings in a lovely village. Customer service was awful so be careful not to complain!

Absolutely love it here! After being let down by a different restaurant we got a table straight away here and they fully saved our date night. Food was incredible, great value for money. Can’t fault the service either really happy with our evening and we can’t wait to come back again in the future. Thank you :-)

Such a shame the food isn’t better. Restaurant decor and service is great (recent re-model is lovely), but the menu hasn’t been refreshed with the decor and if anything seems to not be the same standard of a few years ago. Been a few times and it’s not at the same level that it once was. Service is good, but the menu is pretty standard. Too much pasta, not enough dishes to excite. Some of the dishes are ok, others are awful (chicken Milanese is, frankly, terrible. Definitely not worth the money). Arrabiata is supposed to be spicy with chilli, but mine was bland and not a chilli in sight. Shame because it could be a real gem.
