    Sports pub, plenty of screens but rather noisy. No place for quiet conversation. Reasonable prices for food.

    We visited Sunday at 5pm. Beautiful food for both adults and children. Good size portions & nice presentation. Staff very polite and always available should you need anything more. And nothing was too much hassle. Definitely recommend.

    My daughter booked this for me and her kids for mother's day. I was so disappointed. The chicken roast dinner was (adult) 1 Yorkshire pudding,one rubbery chicken breast, 2 tiny soggy roast potatoes, one spoon of mash and cold veg. Gravy was in a tiny pot, not enough to fill the plate. Not worth what my daughter paid for. The kids menu my grandson ordered a chicken roast dinner with no veg. It was pitiful. A tiny tiny chicken breast, tiny Yorkshire pud and tiny scoop of mash and I potato. My other grandkids had normal kids meal which again were tiny. My daughter had to order 2 extra portions of chips for the kids as they were still hungry. The meal cost £90 which was 4 adults 5 kids plus extras. Also didn't appreciate the chef coming out glaring down the pub at us whilst we waited for food. Yes she did, larger lady (as am I) with a apron on. Plus point our waitress Ruby was completely lovely, very polite and friendly so we gave her a £10 tip. Would I go again. No. But Ruby is going places.

    Sadly a very gloomy and quite depressing pub. Half the bulbs are out and the others very dim, and it's really not warm enough inside when you are sitting. If the landlord is worried about lighting costs why not change to LED which are much brighter at a fraction of the cost? It would be a much more appealing place with proper lighting. Lovely food and excellent prices but as it is at present I wouldn't choose to become a regular visitor. I'd have rated it 2.5 stars if I could but settled on 3 stars because I didn't want to go as low as 2, particularly as the staff and food are great.

    Family run pub with amazing food and a fantastic selection of drinks. If you're looking for a good night out with welcoming staff and locals or a really nice meal, I honestly can't recommend this place enough. The food is all cooked in house and sourced locally, you can really tell a lot of passion goes into the kitchen here.
