Excellent takeaway and dine in. Highly recommend the tandoori rolls, which naans filled with your choice with a salad and sauce- sounds basic but the quality makes all the difference. Not to mention, the family running it are all lovely and friendly.

Just a bad experience. The decor is falling off the front of the building, there's nobody to greet you, the bar has no beers on tap and the choice of drinks was poor. We had booked but the host had to " get a table ready for us" when we arrived. The place is pretty big and there just weren't enough people eating to give any sense of atmosphere. The music was bad, we waited 20 minutes to be asked if we wanted starters. In fact I got up and asked if they could take our order. The poppadoms were fresh but took way too long to come out. I asked for more drinks and the waiter said he would bring us some when we finished the ones we had. Which meant waiting for 10 minutes with empty glasses then making an effort to get his attention for service for them to bring us another drink. The mains were tasty and huge portion sizes too, the chef is skilled, however by this time I wanted to leave. I ate, paid and will never go back. First time I've ever not left a tip. Such a shame given the food was actually really nice. Sort out the service and you might keep the business alive.

Our first time at the restraunt. Ample off-road parking, light and airy inside with a variety of tables for different party size. An extensive menu gave plenty of choice for all tastes. We had starters and mains and thoroughly enjoyed them. Good portions in both. Our fish starters were great, very tasty and the mains excellent. A few drinks on draft including Cobra and an IPA. Overall a great meal and definitely one to revisit again.

Food lovely but the service was a bit slow. They gave us free poppadoms to compensate. Good value for money, would go again.

For the price, the food was excellent. Great choice and what we ordered was very flavoursome. The service was a little odd. Young lad greeted us as we entered. No hello etc, just "you booked?". Took us to our table, sat us down, then moved us because it was booked by someone else... Food came out fast but after the main it took an age to clear away plates and no one came to take desert orders etc. Had to shout a waitet over. Also ordered a beer which was forgotten. So no drink during the meal. Atmosphere would have been 5* but a couple came in with literally about 10 kids and one was a loud unruly thing, made a lot of racket and the parents didn't seem interested in sorting. Had they not been there then it was a great atmosphere in there.

Absolutely delicious meal at East to West this evening. The rice was fragrant, the curry was beautifully balanced and the nan bread was light with a crunch. It wasn't cheap but it was definitely worth every penny. The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive.

Just been in and the food was incredible! The massive garlic naan bread delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly and everything was very fragrant and tasty. The staff were very friendly and attentive without pestering too much. Hot towel and a chocolate at the end was a nice touch. Definitely will be visiting again.

Enjoy some Indian and Persian food at Ivory IndoPersian Hidden away on the edge of Stockport, Ivory IndoPersian provides a mixture of Indian and Persian food. Each type of cuisine has its own chef, so make sure you order off the menu that you prefer - don’t expect your asian spices on the Persian dishes. It was really busy when we visited, and at full capacity it may feel a little cramped. Don’t let that deter you from trying it out though. The Indian dishes were; \Pani Puri [£3.50] - This was spicy and yummy, with mashed potatoes inside. The tamarind sauce was really tasty \Ivory Indian Special [For 2 £30.00] - Big, juicy, crunchy prawns just the way we like it and with a proper tandoori taste. The meaty lamb chops were done exactly how you want it \Achari [£12.90] - This was such a good recommendation from one of the owners. Sweet yet spicy and filled with a mixture of spices - such a good lamb curry The Persian dishes were; \Mix Mezze [£7.50] - Included the cucumber yoghurt, a mixed salad, hummus and yoghurt. The cucumber yoghurt was refreshing, the yoghurt tasted like plain, greek yoghurt - think it was meant to be garlic and shallots but this didn’t come through. The indian naan bread that came with it was nice, but a Persian flatter bread would have been better \Ivory Persian Special [For 2 £37.00] - Same as the indian special, the lamb chops were pure meat! The chicken was juicy, the flat kebab a little dry and the other kobedas cooked nicely \Zereshk Polow & Chicken [£12.90] - A sweet taste, quite like rose and saffron providing that unusuality. A simple, unique dish that was really nice The sweetness for the end consisted of the list below. We were so full by this point that they gave us little tasters so we could see what they were like; \Gulab Jamun [£5] - Pure yum but imagine with a bit of ice cream, this would have been heavenly. The cardamom wasn’t overpowering at all, which was nice L\emon Cheesecake [£5.60] - A tangy, refreshing hit \Baklava [£7] - Pure sweet, syrupy baklava We’ll be back to try some more of the Persian goodies Recommended for: Curries, Indian, Persian Service: High Price: ££ Halal: Full Menu
