We have got used to the Sunday roast here, a quality of food and presentation far exceeding a pub meal. So last night we joined friends for a Christmas dinner. A full traditional Christmas meal was presented, thick slices of turkey, pigs in blankets, toasties, parsnips, carrots and a smooth dark gravy. This was a Christmas dinner to remember, absolutely spot on. Many thanks.

Fabulous pub. Diane, the landlady was so chatty and welcoming. It's clean and comfortable to the point I wish I could have stayed longer. Sunday lunch from 12 till 7pm. The Unicorn beer is stunning and I also tried the Throwback which should be a winner. Food looked amazing.

Booked for Sunday lunch for after a hike in Lyme Park. A very good choice Beef, turkey, pork and lamb or any combination of all was offered. Fish and vegetarian options also available. I chose the slow cooked lamb. And the more than ample cheese board that could have been shared if I wanted. Highly recommend.

We were tempted in by the pie of the week from the moment we saw it promoted on Facebook. A full breakfast pie, with sausage, bacon, mushroom, tomato in a tomato sauce, snuggled in an incredible, toast infused, short pastry with hash browns, black pudding, and beans. I can honestly say it’s the very best pie I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely mind blowing in its execution. Our youngest agreed she’d had the best fish, chips and mushy peas she’s ever had. And it was topped off with a brownie and ice cream and the most delicious salted caramel cheesecake! Cannot fault it. Lovely food, excellent service, and a lovely ambiance. Great to see a local pub pushing the envelope and winning.

This is the first time I have visited The White Horse. The service by the person serving behind the bar was exceptional as was the waiter. I am sorry I didn’t think of asking their names to give them a mention. We went to the pub at 17:15 for a Sunday roast. The wine I chose first was not quite how I was expecting it to taste, I would have drank it but the bar server insisted I tried a couple of others. I went with the Sicilian which she recommended and was a lovely light wine. The waiter was friendly, chatty and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious. From start to finish an excellent experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all your team. Fantastic service and food.

First ever visit to this Robinsons pub on the old Buxton Road just off the very busy A6. Small outdoor seating area on the road. Nice interior. Two Robbies real ales on hand pump. Good pint of Unicorn. For 40 years or more the powers that be have talked of a by pass. Would transform Disley for the better. Flic likes his beer here. Z( little yellow fellow. ) nice toilets.
