I ate here as part of a small wedding party. We all agreed that the food was some of the best we have tasted! The staff were also attentive and.looked after us well. Nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely pub, food is delicious!! Only thing I would say it is a little cold in the room at the back. We were served by Robin who was extremely friendly and helpful

Stayed in Disley over the weekend and decided to eat here. We ate here on a Saturday evening on bank holiday weekend - The place was only 50% full if that. All started well. But our main server was an older lady who just wasn't really up to scratch for what you expect at place that looks as good as this and charges what they do. The drinks were slow getting to our table, I have no idea why. Then the starters came out pretty much 5 minutes after ordering. Never a good sign. Soup was lukewarm. The pan fried king prawns were quite warm, but didn't taste as if they just come off the pan. They must have food sat about in the back. Was not asked if everything was okay by the waiter, she actually wasn't around much after taking the orders. Our starters were removed, and pretty fast our mains came out. Delicious looking burgers (pretty speedily cooked). We asked for some mayo, and another pint for myself. Halfway through eating I was still awaiting my pint... Finished eating, still waiting. By now I am in a bad mood, paying high prices and receiving awful service. Our waiter did not even reappear. I had to go to the bar to pay up for the meal. I will say again, was not asked once during or even while paying how everything was. The staff themselves must already know it is awful.

Another lovely meal at the Ram's Head in Disley after 2 previous enjoyable visits. Staff very friendly and polite, all the meal options we wanted were available, and the drinks were served promptly and with care. Plate presentation and service are very impressive and definitely above the average pub grub standard. Prices not cheap but fair for what's on offer here. Chef impressed by serving one desert in Happy Birthday style, nice touch, thank you. We dined late on a Friday afternoon, so pub was fairly quiet. Building frontal in need of a repaint which could put some punters off trying you out if they've not been before. No complaints at all once you're through the door. Free parking but you need to enter the vehicle reg on their console at reception.

We visited with 2 young children for lunch and overall enjoyed our visit, albeit with a few issues. The pub is a lovely old building and was warm, cosy and welcoming with log fires. There were some decent real ales on tap. Parking outside is free (remember to register your number plate on arrival though to avoid a ticket). It has a 5/5 food hygiene rating. The food was generally good, and a separate vegan menu was available which was appreciated. Service was a little slow but friendly. The kids had fish and chips but unfortunately this was basically a mass of batter with little fish inside - they left most of it. The adult fish and chips was better but still very light on the fish I felt. Also, the skin was left on the battered fish which is not my personal preference - I accept some people don't mind this but I always end up scraping it off along with half of the batter! The sea bass dish was well cooked. There was a good 'coffee + mini dessert' option. The atmosphere was pleasant and cosy. It's clearly a dog friendly pub - there were at least 3 in when we were there, thankfully with considerate owners. Overall we would return but would probably order different dishes.

An amazing pub, with great service and a really homely vibe. It is slightly on the expensive side, but it serves really decent food and had a nice warm fire to warm you up after a walk in the countryside. We had a couple of plates instead of main meals and this was a perfect amount of food. Thereβs a small short-stay car park just around the corner, and itβs not far from the train station.

The food here is exceptional. They do have a dedicated vegan menu but you need to ask for it. I can't convey how gorgeous, tasty and well presented the food was but very pricey (reason below). We both chose the sweet potato and chestnut roast off the festive menu and the Billonaire Bar off the vegan menu. Despite the food being incredible I have only given it 4 stars as their were a few disappointments which could have been easily avoided. We asked for vegan gravy and was told there wasn't any. The biggest reason for a missing star is that as a vegan you cannot take advantage of the Festive 3 Course Meal for Β£30 as they do not provide a desert. There is only one starter option (soup) and one main course (which was very nice - see photo). I did raise this to the waitress who provided no solution. This meant we paid Β£20 each for just a main course. I don't know if it is possible to have a dessert from the vegan menu and it be included in the deal but I felt the oversight of the festive menu for vegans deserved 1 star deducting.

This is more of a food destination than a traditional wet led pub. The food has a great reputation but I was here for the beer. I do not like Doom Bar. A very ordinary beer so went for Wainwright as the only other real ale. Very acceptable.

The food it served were premium restaurant level. We ordered two starter and three mains and all of them were so tasty. The backyard was peaceful and beautiful. Definitely will come again when visit Disley in the future.
