Very unhappy customer who won’t be visiting again (group of 10). Apparently you had to preorder Xmas dinner even though we’ve been here last three years without having to do it. Could have told us when we booked to preorder but didn’t tell us. Wouldn’t have mind if manager was helpful but just dismissed us. Was a joke to be honest The girl waitress was really helpful an a credit to the staff. Received Guinness in a Camden Hells glass so had to spilt the eyes. As a disgruntled customer to would think be looked after but no, next Guinness pint is in a unicorn pint glass ffs Order a Paloma and th grapefruit sits on top of the glass when should be mixed I the glass instead of the raspberry. Kids mains arriving with the starters is stupid after what we requested Not enough gravy for the pie (an absolute disgrace), didn’t task for more as probs would have turned up in Guinness glass been asking for all night. Food =average, think my girlfriend went and cooked the bangers and mash whilst we waited cause it was average. Merry Xmas!

A beautiful place to grab a bit to eat! First time coming and the atmosphere was lovely, staff are always smiling and very helpful! Quick service, clean & modern through out. I believe its alway dog friendly which it at one end of the bar and the restaurant is further down where we sat to have food. Would come again. Thanks

Came for Sunday roast. The portions were brilliant and the food was delicious. The service from Ellie, Jade and Ruby was very friendly and attentive. This was the first time we’ve been here and it won’t be the last.

For all gravy lovers, this place won’t disappoint. I first visited a few months ago for a Sunday roast, and I was blown away by the gravy - honestly the best I’ve had (apart from my grandmother’s, of course)! This week, I returned with my parents and partner to try more of the menu. My dad and I went for the braised steak (with gravy) and a pea & mint purée, served with chunky chips. The gravy was rich and thick - almost like treacle - just how I like it. My partner and mum ordered the cheese and onion pie, which was less satisfying. Instead of chunky chips, it came with skinny fries and a salad - no peas or beans, which felt like a bit of a letdown. The ambiance was lovely: spacious with charming pub vibes. However, we did notice a couple of fruit flies this time, which wasn’t an issue on our previous visit. Pricing is mid-range, around £40 per person for a main, dessert, and two drinks. I’ll definitely be back, but next time, we’ll double-check the sides that come with each dish, just to avoid any surprises.

I have eaten here tonight, rather too much in fact. The chicken and tarragon ham pie was so delicious, and the veg was cooked just soft enough for my liking. The portion of side chips was generous. The chocolate torte was rich and I'm honestly glad I didn't go for cream on it! Highly recommended.

Came for a bank holiday lunch with the family. Really nice place with a relaxing and laid-back atmosphere. Food was great, we all enjoyed our meals and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be coming again!

Good customer service; when our waitress asked about the meal she took on board a disappointment with the portion size of the ravioli dish (lovely as it was) as it felt more like a starter. After consulting with a senior staff my partner was offered a dessert on the house which was an acceptable compromise.

Great pub for lunch after a walk in the Peak District, interior is modern and stylish and the menu is really good with plenty of choice. Great selection of Robinsons ale and best of all for us they not only welcome dogs but they also added a sausage to our order and served it in a doggy bowl. Customer service was friendly and excellent. Could fault the place at all and would definitely go back again. Yet another example of a fantastic Robinsons pub in Stockport.

Very dissapointed with the duck. Cost almost 20£, while received only two slices, both approx 5cm long, 1cm wide, and one of them was undercooked. Good that they accept dogs, so the my dog had a bite. We also had a burger, which was not that bad, very oily though- even bun was soaked with oil. Nice interior, but better to have a pint rather than food.
