We had a table booked but waited around ten minutes at the front desk without any acknowledgement — no “we’ll be with you shortly,” just avoided eye contact, which wasn’t a great first impression. We were seated upstairs, which feels quite run down, and then waited a further 40 minutes for a waitress to take our food order. No table water or drinks menu was provided, and we had to ask for both. The food was nice but felt a little overrated for the hype. The pastries and coffee were excellent and definitely the highlight. If you eat in, the staff can’t tell you what sweet treats are left, so you have to go downstairs, queue at the counter and pay separately, leaving the rest of your table behind. The waitress also came across as quite robotic, with no smile, and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. A little let down overall, as we had high hopes!

I came for an evening meal and the staff were immediately kind and very helpful. I was offered a drink whilst I waited at the bar which was amazing and then I was asked if I was ready to be seated upstairs. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff are so friendly and kind. The food was incredible and any time I felt I was ready for another drink or to order more food, there was a staff member near by to help with this. Will definitely be back!

We came for dinner and the service was excellent. I love that they accomodated us inside even though we booked the terrace initially. The food and drinks we ordered was full of flavour and dessert was lush! Even though it got busier, service was still attentive. We are going to return again!

If you’re thinking of booking for any special occasion or going in general don’t bother! Reserved a table for my daughter’s birthday and had to provide card details when booking. Arrived to no table reserved for us and got put upstairs to which I can only describe as a run down overspill room and stores for stock! Incredibly disappointed and you could also see this on my daughter’s face. Service was slow and drinks were nearly finished by the time the food came. My husband ordered the full breakfast and was then told they had no sausages until after 11:30. Food is barely edible; Eggs over cooked, bacon covered in black oily burnt bits, mushy hash brown come potato cake. The only decent thing on the plate were the beans and that’s saying something. The cups with sugar packets had dirt and let’s say short and curlys stuck to them. Flies buzzing round. Old birthday balloons floating round the ceiling. Strong smell of grease. £70 for a very disappointing birthday treat. Never again. Ohh and as for the pastries you see…hardly any available!

Last Thursday (18th June) my Mum and I visited Libbys, we’d been saving it for when we had nice weather, so seeing the how lovely it was going to be, I called on the Tuesday and made a reservation for the evening and on the roof terrace! It was SO lovely! Sat right next to the River Goyt, in the tree’s! We ordered quite a few things plus 2 glasses of wine each (the glasses were perfect - Not the awful stubby ones)! Our waitress Isabella, was so nice! Already looking for rare to our next visit!

Called in here for refreshments after taking a very nice local walk by the canal. Obviously, it was a popular spot as there was a steady stream of customers. Good cake and pastry selection.

Love it here, it’s one of our favourite places to eat, we are plant based and there’s always plenty to choose from, and we do have the fish now and then, it’s always gorgeous and tasty, and they do a dam good cocktail too x

What an absolutely fantastic evening. After looking everywhere for an intimate venue for our wedding reception, we found it on our doorstep. We managed to book Libby’s exclusively for the evening and we honestly could not have wished for a better night. A massive thanks to Sarah at Libby’s for thinking of the finishing touches, the flowers, place names, music and candles, just perfect. A big thank you to the staff as well who were very attentive and as always the food was excellent and seemed to never end. If you’re looking for somewhere to hold a truly magical party or event I could not recommend somewhere more highly.
