   I've been twice recently, once for sunday dinner and once for lunch. The sunday dinner was amazing - I had the nut roast and the best I've had. The childrens meal was also presented really nice which made it more exciting for our daughter to eat. The lunch on a second visit was also lovely. If booking I would recommend requesting a table downstairs, felt more cosy and like there was more of an atmosphere than upstairs. They do get busy for sunday dinner but there was no music playing upstairs so it was very quiet and lacking some atmosphere.

   We were staying within walking distance and went for Sunday lunch, which was very good. Returned later in the week and the meal was even better. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

   We booked a table here following a local walk. The barman was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The place filled up from 5pm - the atmosphere was great with all the background chatting. The food and the drinks were fantastic - we could not fault it. We’ve been here once before and we’ll visit again.

   I came here today with my family for Mothering Sunday. The meal was absolutely delicious and divine. My family had all different varieties of the roast dinners whilst I had the vegan nut roast instead due to not wanting to eat meat today. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals though there were a few flaws including the fact that the parsnips were a little harder than we would have liked and my sister did say that it’d be better with more roast potatoes but that’s her “being greedy”. We also enjoyed our desserts. Overall we really liked our food. We will definitely be coming back!

   We went in on Sunday, late afternoon (Table for 4)for a triple birthday celebration and we had a fantastic Sunday roast. The food was cooked to perfection, 3 Roast rib of beef with perfectly cooked veg and proper Yorkshire puds and lashings of tasty gravy and even a large jug on the side as us northerners love our gravy! Hubby had the haddock and chips which was lovely and flaky,so fresh and he loved it. The service was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Tia moved us upstairs away from the roaring fire which was getting a little warm for one of us and we ate in the lovely dining room which was perfect. Our compliments must go to Tia and the girls and of course, the chef! We'll certainly be going back for seconds! I think I have just eaten the best Sunday roast I have ever tasted, bar none!! Thank you and 5 Stars from us for the Oddfellows!!!!

   Superb roast dinner for four in upstairs dining area. Lively, proper pub atmosphere downstairs with open fires. Good selection of ales and excellent service. Very popular with dog walkers - maybe worth a limit of, say, five dogs at a given time! Will be returning.

   Been looking for a country pub like this for a long time as a lot of the others nearby have gone downhill lately. Great food here (the Sunday Roasts are really good) and a gorgeous atmosphere. Really cozy downstairs bar(s), bright and spacious upstairs restaurant. Attentive, friendly service and not too expensive either. Can't wait to go back!

   This place is simply addictive!!!! Gorgeous location, fab staff, and food is just amazing. Not had one bad dish here and we've almost completed the menu!!!! Dog friendly, cosy, nice fire. Can't fault it!
