   It’s one of the only pubs in the area so for that alone deserves praise. A lovely warm real fire was on when I came in and I was served straight away with a great pint. Amazing beer selection. Only minus points: no children after 8pm, music choice was like stepping back in time (not in a good way)

   I had to write this review straight away, as it was such a pleasure to visit a pub where we were met so warmly, the cask beer range produced in house is excellent ( Tried two & both very drinkable & very reasonably priced ) It was just a shame I had a train to catch otherwise I would have stayed! I will definitely be back & can only recommend! (Trains roughly every half hour from Manchester lovely small beer garden which is a sun trap!

   Fantastic pub. Brews own ale- Greenfield Brewery. Angela and Mark are excellent hosts and the staff are really friendly. Now and again, it's a great place to see local bands.
