Highly recommend the chicken kebabs on a pita chicken is excellent quality and kebabs are delicious. Charcoal Grill has been proving high standards of take away meals for many years. Fully established business.
Kebabs are priced at £6.50p Which I fell is a little expensive for the amount of meat put into them. Food is not consistent one week there great, the next there dry . Probably better using paprika in newton.
The kebabs and pizzas are really nice but they are super stingy when it comes to sauce! I've never seen a takeaway who's owners are so stingy with sauce even when the customers asks for extra and are willing to pay for it
Been going to this place for the last 30 years on and off. Always been the best that's why I've always returned but since the revamp the prices have gone up quite high and the standards have gone down in my opinion and regretfully I will not be returning.
Decent pizzas. My partner loves the popcorn chicken one and I'm always about the BBQ chicken. Good base and crust, decent toppings even with extras added.
This shop was one of the very first takeaways in Tameside and its still got the original owner there. Unfortunately, it is a bit hit and miss with the kebabs. There is no doubt that the doner meat is a high grade as is the lamb shish and the chilli sauce is one of my favourites. The problem is that the portion size is so small that does not give any value and at £5 for a doner kebab, you would expect not to receive scraps of doner meat with most of the slices breaking up into appearing more like minced lamb! It's no helpful also having the doner meat warmed up in a pizza dish and put in the pizza over for a few minutes as this dries out the meat. Overall, I would give it a higher score if they were not so greedy with the tiny portion sizes and served fresh doner that is not re-headed in a pizza tray and warmed in the pizza oven (this happened on 2 of my last 3 visits).
Found this place a couple of months ago and never looked back!!! It's not the usual type of place my wife and I normally go for food but we were on our way back from an Alice Cooper gig and it was one of the only places open. Had a chicken and donner naan and wow, taste sensation is an understatement, my wife had a spicy chicken burger, she said it was better than her normal chicken legend at McDonald's, high praise indeed because she's been resting that for years. We've never looked back since, the food is amazing value, portions are huge, this place is a real hidden gem. We've now taken to coming here on a regular basis as our guilty pleasure. Highly recommended and the staff are great too boot, go, you'll not be disappointed.
I'd put zero stars if I could order 2 large kebabs on nan @9pm tonight got told 40/50 mins delivery. two hours later they turned up no apologies to us and they was freezing cold) wouldn't mind its a five minute drive from there shop to our house). opened them up no tomatoes on mine even though my hubby asked salad on both but toms on only one, I was bloody shocked of the size of the nan bread there that small it's disgusting.. WE DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE USING THIS PLACE AGAIN.. ZERO STARS FROM ME.
Best kebabs for miles around. Delivery time may be poor due to so many people ordering their food. Surely if they've been established over 20 years........ Nevertheless always better to go an pick the food up.
