   Was served by a young lady who had a real attitude problem. Staff were chitchating amongst themselves and not even trying to listen to my order. When I pointed out the stuff she missed, mainly my kids stuff, she accused me of delaying the queue and causing caos... The food is decent for the price.

   Only like two staff serving food for like 30 people, wasted crap load of time for some very basic menu, while most of the other food are unavailable. Avoid the ONION RINGS! 95p for three piece, doesn’t match the picture provided at all. It’s a scam. Will not return for this anymore.

   I was quite disappointed with the dining experience at IKEA Manchester. While IKEA is known for its affordable and simple meals, the prices here felt quite high compared to the quality of the food. The portion sizes were average, but the taste and overall food quality were underwhelming. The hot dishes, such as the meatballs and salmon, were quite bland and didn’t seem very fresh. Some items were either overcooked or lacked seasoning, making the meal quite underwhelming. The pastries and desserts were slightly better, but still not enough to make up for the disappointing mains. Considering the price and quality, the value for money is quite low. For a quick bite, there are definitely better and more affordable options nearby. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend dining here unless you’re really in need of a convenient meal while shopping.

   Did you really visit Ikea if you didn’t have the meatballs? Well on this occasion I wished we hadn’t bothered. It wasn’t very busy in the restaurant on our visit so maybe that’s why our food wasn’t great. The meatballs were dry and tasteless and am sure that the gravy tasted watered down. Usually the gravy is lush but not today. The food wasn’t piping hot as it usually is. We ended up leaving most of the meatballs .. fizzing that I had ordered the larger portion, what a waste! When we left just before 8pm, we were hoping to grab a hotdog, ice cream for a snack to make up for the disappointing meal …. BUT the cafe downstairs was already closed and roped off!!

   The restaurant is wide and family friendly. It provides trolleys for family to take several trays. Foods are IKEA foods which you can buy after G/F checkout. Their meals attract you to buy the foods and cook at home.

   It's IKEA canteen. It isn't haute cuisine. But...Perhaps it's me, but it always seems like a disorganised school canteen. On this occasion the food was lukewarm the queue was huge, when the second counter opened there was no control of the tidal surge of people who dashed across. The drinks machines had nozzles missing and some out of order, the service at the till slow and disorganised. There is no instructions for the uninitiated. Are the drinks refillable? The man on the till asked if it wanted to pay for a refillable drink but then there was signs saying drinks arnt refillable. Poor considering all the kit and space they have.

   I wasn't able to get a receipt. Booths are taken up with people just getting a hot drink and using the Internet. Tables are not being cleaned or cleared. The toilets were clean but strewn with paper. This is customers not staff. I reported my complaint to a staff member by the lifts. Things ran better when covid rules were stricter
