   This restaurant has a nostalgic charm, giving off “old school” vibes that reminded me of how Indian restaurants looked 15 years ago. It’s a small, 40-seater place with cosy energy, though the tables are on the small side. As for the food: - Poppadoms and chutneys were excellent. - Starters were fresh and full of flavour. - Mains were the letdown. Almost every curry was coloured red, which really took away from the dishes — especially in a karahi, where it simply isn’t necessary. On the practical side: cleanliness wasn’t an issue, and service was efficient and helpful. The drinks menu is very limited, which keeps with the traditional feel but may disappoint some as they don't offer mocktails etc. They also offer a good value for money deal -£15 for any starter (some limitations), any main, and any rice / naan / chips. Overall, it’s a neat little spot with great starters and a nostalgic atmosphere, but unless the mains are improved, I doubt I’d return.

   For me the best Indian restaurant in the area I ve been eating in here and regular for 30 + years try all other curry houses in tame side I can’t fault the curry cottage’ the price is very good on their set meals £11.95 can’t fault it service staff are very friendly fresh hot food need hot plate on the table I would recommend this place to anyone

   Food was ok, but nothing exciting. Starters came out really hot but the mains just warm. The beer was also warm. Not somewhere I'd go again, think there are better out there.

   Ate here for the 1st time recently. Quite small inside so if there was several of you, you would prob have to book in advance There was 4 of us and midweek so was able to get a table just walking in. Staff were friendly polite and attended to our table quickly and efficiently. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Toilets were clean but were upstairs so not suitable for those who couldnt manage the stairs. Overall it was a lovely eve out and will most definitely be visiting again.

   Been there last night had a fabulous authentic curry best in the area curry was nice and saucey not like other curry houses dry I don’t feel heavy when I had dry curry fabulous place prices was good set meal was easy to choose know the meal how it’s going to be service was very friendly I think it’s family running the business thats what I want the best in the are
