Very nice well kept pub, welcoming atmosphere with excellent service. The beers were from Robinsons brewery and were in top notch condition. The price was in keeping with the quality of the ale and the location. The pub is only a few minutes walk from Rose Hill Marple railway station ideally situated.
Disappointing. Handily located at the end of the Middlewood Way, this place seemed like the ideal spot for our walking group to stop off for lunch. Having called in a week earlier to book in advance, AND give a list of pre-orders as requested, it was disturbing to find the place closed and in darkness upon our arrival. Only after a ten minute wait in the car-park, and ringing the doorbell, did we gain access. Then, having to queue at the bar to give our lunch orders individually -and pay in advance - took a further 30 minutes. This meant that some of us had finished our meal before others even got served. The food was palatable, although some meals were over-cooked. And being served a beef stew which was no more that a bowl of gravy with a few pieces of meat and carrot in it, and half a dozen incinerated chips, with a soggy paper serviette underneath which had to be extracted, was hardly an acceptable dining experience (see photo).
Flic decided to have a day out in Marple. We started at this lovely Robinson's pub next to Rose Hill station. I am pretty sure I have been here a few times many years ago. Large open plan and plush interior with TV's and an outside terrace, also with a TV. Stairs down to a small beer garden beside a large car park. Three of four handpumps in use on my visit. Went for a seasonal Pale Ale, AMO 4.4%. Really refreshing.
Had a Wake for my dad yesterday 25/01/23 cannot thank Jane and her team enough. The food and atmosphere in the pub were great and everyone who attended thought it was a lovely do. Everyone we dealt with was lovely and made the day an enjoyable occasion Highly recommend

Gorgeous pub, we popped in for a quick bite to eat and a pint. Everywhere was nice and clean, the lady behind the bar was very nice and chatty, she made us feel very welcome. The food was lovely, we sat outside to eat in the sun, beautiful.
A lovely pub situated next to the railway which is well maintained and clean. The staff were very friendly and they had a good selection of beverages on offer. I just wish I had a bit more time to sample their food offering.
