We went for lunch with friends and it went so well with great food very good drinks from the bar and very quick and cheerful service. Every good reason to go back. Thank you from Mike & Linda.
Absolutely delicious food. We went yesterday and had the Christmas festive menu. Seriously couldn't fault it. Fantastic value for money. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Never been in before but they made us so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. Cheers guys.
Only stopped in for a drink or two. Nice pub, friendly staff, decent selection of alcohol. Can't comment on the food as I didn't eat there but menu looked good

This place is absolutely fantastic. The food was excellent and the portion sizes are big. If we are every this way again we will definitely be going back, the Mrs even said on our way back to our hotel that it would be worth booking an hotel here again just to go back.
had a great night. met my northen cousins. great atmosphere. hosts made you really welcome. great ales and the music was good. next time up i will sample there great selection of foods. warm and cosy pub to spend the night away.

Good beer, excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere. The Horseshoe was refurbished recently and they did a really good job on it. Fortunately, they didn't mess with the beer and this remains one of the best pints of Unicorn around. The food here is just fantastic. Massive portions and cooked perfectly. The lava-stone steaks you sort of cook yourself are fab. The half-roast chicken is the biggest pub meal I think I've ever had but then so is everything else. Sharing nachos are also well worth a try. The staff are all very friendly, as are the more colourful locals (you know who you are") . Whether you want a quite drink in the snug, join in the Thursday quiz, Play Your Cards Right or try the meat draw, you'll have a very pleasant evening. If I was to criticise anything, the occasional guest beer runs out far too quickly!
