I booked a table at this pub earlier in the week for myself and my partner. I wrote a note at the time of booking requesting the festive menu. We arrived very much looking forward for a festive meal together only to be informed that they had seen my note but I had to preorder it and pay a deposit. Very disappointing as if they had bothered to contact me when they saw the note I would have had no problem paying the deposit. We settled for the main menu, only to be told that my second chosen meal was not available. In fairness when the chosen meals had arrived the food was nice and hot. It's a shame that the service overall was very poor. I had always wanted to come to this pub , I finally came but will never return.

I had the sunday roast with beef and pork. The beef was sliced so fine (not that i wanted thick slices)and very sparse, Pork was lovely. The veg was great and very tasty. Lovely yorkshire pudding. I will return as a lovely atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Other people in the group had a pie, nothing special, apparently. They said they would return.

Lovely food. Never had jammie dodger cake. Have to go back if it's only for another slice of cake. Photo below.

Lovely place! Indoor and outdoor seating available. We went on a sunny weekday and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I think there was one hot veggie option but some nice ones, if you're flexible. Food is on the pricier side but you get very generous portions. If you're veggie, I'd recommend for lunch but maybe not as your main meal of the day.

We had my nans celebration of life here yesterday and it was a lovely. We had done some flower arrangements for the tables and the staff said they’d place them out for us before we arrived & also allowed us to set up some little decorations. Service was impeccable and the food was amazing! Over all lovely experience for something that was so sad! Thank you x

We have previously been to the Farmers Arms on many occasions, so was looking forward to this pre Christmas family get together. We were a party of 8 and there was only one other large table occupied at the same time. Although the food was reasonable, the meal was ruined by the lack of customer service. One of the young girls that served us was unfriendly to the point of being rude, she didn't smile once, everything seemed like too much trouble for her, she didn't ask if everything was okay, she was also extremely scruffy. My daughter works in hospitality and she was surprised at the total lack of customer service. Needless to say we didn't leave a tip and it has totally put us off coming here again. We had booked for Xmas eve but have since cancelled.

Came for lunch on Sunday before Xmas - appreciate it was busy but we had been asked for a pre order in advance which apparently didn’t make it through so we had to give them the order again on the day. The food was generally nice although the roast lamb was tough and looked more like beef than lamb! The service was somewhat lacking, the staff were not particularly friendly and didn’t seem to know what they were doing - they approached us with “beef Wellington” which were in fact our vegan wellingtons. Wouldn’t recommend the coffee - we asked for cappuccino which came out more watery than a latte, and they did try to rectify this but the second offering was as bad as the first. The Baileys cheesecake was nice though! - I should say that they did take the items that we complained about off the bill (which we do appreciate, thank you!), but unfortunately our experience was not as good as it could have been.

Appauling - If you want to pay £13.50 for 2 spuds, one broccoli a few peas with watered-down gravy then come here, the vegetarian option was not available so I had the vegan chicken which may as well have been the cardboard menu, the menu would have been as dry and as tastless... never again

absolutely amazing meal! the pie and chips were so tasty and filling but omg the gravy was out of this world, you can clearly tell the chef cares about what’s being put on the plate! The onion rings were immense too!! and dogs ARE ALLOWED outside! Great afternoon spent here, would highly recommend!! The staff are so helpful and friendly too!! Thank you for a lovely meal
