   Shocking experience, my first visit and last. The fish was tiny and genuinely tasted awful. It had a very strong chemical taste to it like it was past it's shelf life or it just wasn't cod as sold. My chips were somewhat okay, quite hard to get wrong though. Definitely had better and a was a paltry sized scoops worth. Thin and lumpy gravy to put the icing on the cake. It might have been nice had they mixed it properly. The servers really need to pay more attention to what they are serving or this business is doomed to fail. I put 90% of the food in the bin and went elsewhere. I hate to leave a bad review but this was so preventable I don't think returning it would have helped. Do better.

   The worst chippy I’ve ever been to the chips were absolutely disgusting they looked and tasted like frozen ones that had been cooked a few days earlier totally inedible

   Lovely chippy. The pudding with gravy is gorgeous. The legendary curry sauce is my favourite, it is a little spicy but very delicious. Cash only.

   We always buy our chips from the chippy to go with our meal once a week. The sausage, chips and gravy are lovely - perfect when the weather turns cold. The chippy is always busy, the staff friendly and the portion sizes of the chips are massive. With being busy, all the food is cooked fresh, and it shows. Its definitely value for money.

   The three of us had fish and (medium) chips. We all enjoyed the meal. The fish was perfectly cooked in batter and the chips were a good sized portion. We will definitively use High Lane Fish Bar again.
