   Ordered a chicken curry with rice, it tasted like ultra-processed crap. The texture didn't taste like chicken at all, it almost felt like how I expect raw chicken to taste. I had to physically remove the chicken from the curry so I could at least enjoy it a little bit. Someone else also had the beef curry and they didn't finish it all because it too also tasted horrible. Only went here because my usual chippy was closed. If you want a curry, don't get it from here

   I've ordered from the Golden Star a handful of times now and it's my go-to choice for a Chinese takeaway from this point on. I have only ever ordered the salt and pepper sharing boxes and can say with certainty that they have been consistently delicious, packed full of food and good value for money each and every time. I have published a photo of each salt and pepper box I've had to date to show this. I can also not fault the service here, I am greeted with a happy smile every time I enter. This is an outstanding example of what a great a Chinese takeaway should be.

   Unfortunately our regular chinese is closed and so we used this place last night for the first time. Our family of 5 had a dish each, it cost over £40 and each meal was picked at and left. Every meal was swimming in grease, tasteless and looked so bland and non appealing. Wouldnt visit here again and wouldnt recommend, I'd actually advise to stay well away!

   Doesn't look the nicest place from the outside but they're very friendly and food was good. Suppose it's down to everyone's personal taste and what you order but my Honey BBQ Ribs and Special Kung Po was lovely.
