   Went in on the way home about 9 30pm for a chip muffin ( or whatever you like to call it ? ) was only me in , thought £2 90 was a little over the top but paid for it the lady behind the counter then took cold chips out of the cooked compartment & reheated the chips ended up with crap greasy chips that I threw away when I got home first & last time in there Wont waste my money again

   Good food but portions ridiculously big. Need to offer a small fish and half portions of chips! Not good to throw half a portion in bin. Fish and chips doesn’t really save!

   Really good Chinese takeaway. Beef curry was really nice that I had, with boiled rice. Other half had fish - she didn’t say it was the best, but more than edible. Would go back, and have the curry again. Parking to collect is a bit of a nightmare - as you’d expect, cash only

   They used to charge you 50p for a card payment on an order under £5 now it’s £10 they are an absolute disgrace in all my years I’ve seen several owners of this chip shop these are by far by a long way the rudest and worst

   If you traversed all of the British Isles you'd be hard pressed to locate a more astonishing chip shop than Bredbury Fish Bar. This is not a chippy, this is the chippy, the preeminent chippy and all other iterations of chippy's fall flaccidly to the wayside against the earth shattering grandeur of this establishment. I cannot recommend this purveyor of food strongly enough - words are not sufficient. It's imperative we continue to finance this operation for the good of humanity.

   I don't know if i should even do review as based on experience pre Covid, bits and bobs since lockdown ended and perception updated latest menu. We've had meals that were excellent, salt and pepper ribs, BBQ ribs, chilli shredded beef and all that has been very good. A snack i had was chop suey roll and hot/sour soup lovely. Fish and chips had few times and I've not found the best. Fish greasy. And I'm old and definition of a good chip is hard to find from most takeaways. But i hear management has changed? Not so sure. Then latest menu there is one choice of fish and it's £5.40 i think. All takeaways getting expensive. But that's going some on fish. But that stands out as one item , overall the increases on all menu items is not that bad compared to other takeaways in area

   Fish was tasteless Luke warm with soggy batter, disgusting i couldn't eat it, only went because Matt's plaice was queing down the road, normal chips are nice but salt and pepper chips were bad too, i should have gone to Go Thai down the road but it's a long wait there too.. With good reason, fish bar was almost empty, proof is in the eating! This place has gone to dogs since changing hands recently, avoid.
