   Tried here for the first time tonight and wow it was absolutely beautiful. Had the set meal for 2 and could have easily fed 4. Ray and the staff were so lovely. My new go to Chinese :)

   This Chinese is probably one of the best in the area if not tameside. The food is absolutely amazing at an average price, and the owner is very nice always giving free chips or prawn crackers and loves to chat. The service and food has been good here for as far as I can remember (8 years of going here)

   Rays chippy is more than just a chippy! If you like Traditional English = go to rays! If you like Chinese = go to rays! Very friendly family and very clean! The only wrong thing I can say about rays is: there's no delivery! But that doesn't make a bit of difference to all his clients and regulars! Keep up the great food Ray and family!

   Drove 3 mile to get here as this was recommended by my partner and we were both glad we did. There is a reason why this place is holding its great reputation and also why everyone queues outside instead of just going next door or locally. Same owner for over 25 years apparently and known to my partner as Ray although we're not 100% that that's his actual name. Ray was great a real people person and proud of his food. Portions for 2 were huge and he was determine to make sure we got the most for our money pointing out offers he had on that that would get us bigger portions. When the food was ready I waited outside whilst my partner went to get the food. Ray was so proud of his food and portions he asked for me to come in so he could show me the food so that I was also happy with it and talk me through what he had got for us. We left with a free portion of Prawn Crackers and two free cans as well.. Food was lovely, good quality and more than enough for 4 and I still haven't got over the size of the Singapore Fried Rice, the pot was 2 thirds bigger than anything I'd had before. Worth adding the Ray salt and vinegared the chips in layers not just the top.. it does make a difference. Fair to say I'll drive the distance again to come back for it.    Very disappointing, the chicken is soggy, it has no taste whatsoever. The chips just look dirty and grey. What has happened to this place? Ray’s used to be pretty decent. None of us enjoyed it tonight. I recommend one of them pay a visit to House 88 if they want to improve. To be honest we want a refund. Just take a look at these pictures...
