   I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re after a comforting roast, a special night out, or just a few drinks in a warm atmosphere, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended — easily one of the best pubs in the area!

   Called in for food on our way home and had a really nice meal. I asked if they did a mixed grill because there wasn’t one on the menu, and the lady who served us said she would ask in the kitchen, she came back and said that they could. And it was really good they should have it on the menu. A nice relaxing pub with a good vibe and a great outdoor garden, a big thanks to Lianne who served us, definitely worth a visit .

   Hare and hounds is our local and go to for a nice meal out, the food is always 10/10 for me and all the staff are so friendly every time we go. The owners are lovely and really hands on. It’s dog friendly as well so we can take our pup for a nice evening out - they even cooked a bit of chicken for her once on request - love this pub, the food, the staff and the atmosphere, highly recommend

   Food rubbish the pub very cold ...we was told the food is good thats why we came how disappointing. wouldn't come back any time soon....i wonder if the chef is fairly new if so that person needs to up the game and sort the food out ?

   Brilliant pub food. Loved the Minced Beef Pie, it reminded me of the one my late Mum used to make. Delicious. Would definitely eat here again.

   I really enjoyed my visit to The Hare and Hounds. We went their for my sister in laws birthday. The staff were ace and I ate my food in record time as it was so tasty. The all important food hygiene rating is 5 stars too which is always good to see! We were out in beer garden which is decorated with fine flowers, mainly Dhalias of different colours. Really nice!

   Really nice home cooked food. Staff went out of their way to cater for our baby too when we realised we'd left her tea at home accidently. Food is well worth a try and well worth the cost.
