We don’t order takeaways often but over the past few years we have tried a few local Indian takeaways. We found Dilshad to be a bit bland and lacking in flavor. The lamb was not good quality either.

Nice food but out of 15 orders they have got the order wrong about 10 times. So if you’re getting take away, check your bag before you leave!!!

Food was good but service was awful, the phone at the bar area was constantly ringing for atleast 30 minutes and none of the staff answered it. It was very loud and annoying. No one came over to ask if we wanted more drinks, we had to ask them when they walked past. We were the only ones in the restaurant.

As a veteran of eating in Indian restaurants I have to say Dilshad is a great discovery. Elaborate menu with so many dishes I’ve never seen before (which is really unusual). I’m slowly working my way through them when I’m in Manchester and it feels being 18 again trying things for the first time! The food is excellent: amazing tasting, good sized portions and not overpriced. The staff are friendly and the restaurant looks and feels as you expect.

I have no previous experience of this restaurant. However I have just been in with my partner for a meal. The seating area was cold and scruffy (I had to keep my jacket on). Bathroom was dated and water was cold. We ordered the mixed starter, poppadoms with chutnies, lamb tikka karahi and garlic nans. Verdict on food: the starter 6/10 Lamb T karahi 1/10 Nans 5/10 Poppadoms 3/10 I had to cut the meat in the curry with a knife in to pieces for me to eat it with the nan. When my partner complained to the waiter regarding how the tough the meat was, he got irritated and didn't want to do anything. I personally would have walked out of the restaurant there and then without further eating the food and without settling the bill as their attitude was that disgusting but decided to take the high road as I was with my partner. This restaurant only survives due to the lack of selection of Indian food in the area. I would 1000% not recommend!
