Food was ok except chicken tandoori starter which unfortunately tasted pre cooked then frozen and reheated so was watery and not much flavour. Duck croquettes were nice, fish and chips had spicy coconut curry sauce instead of chip shop curry sauce but was better and chicken main lacked seasoning but nothing that a little extra salt and pepper from table didn't help. Service was bad and it's rare I say anything but apart from first guy who took our order who was amazing at his job, buy then as more tables came in went to another section we were ignored. Our drinks took over 20 minutes as sat on bar counter with team leader, manager and waiter all walking past them. After that had to flag down original waiter for the bill as our waiter actively walked past ignoring our table. Then had to go host stand as still didn't arrive even with waiter supposed to be looking after us being asked for it. Host was just as bad with attempt to stop taking payment to answer phone. They not doing bad just poor lack of floor management in place

Cant fault the food in this restaurant. Started with the soup which was butternut squash with bread and butter. Then had the grilled chicken supreme followed by the apple and raspberry crumble and ice cream. My wife went for the crumble with custard. This was one of the best meals we have had recently. Staff were very friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed our meal.

I opted to go to this restaurant, seeing as I had been asked when I first checked in. Getting sat down, and the order was extremely quick. What let it down was the fact that part of my order was missing and I still got charged for something that came 40 minutes later. I initially thought oh it would come soon, but I spent 30 minutes waiting for fries, and no one came to check up on me checking if the food was okay. The server had apologised, and I waited another 10 minutes. He had "knocked" it off my bill, but I still paid the full meal because I had given up with the service. I am assuming it is for service charge, but Β£4 for service that I barely received? The couple who had been placed next to me had been charged for something they didn't get, and they told the server right away. Overall, the food was amazing, but it's a shame that the service really let it down. I went with the cod loin with chorizo and pepper stew (they had no butter beans).

The Ox Cheek Ragu was absolutely magnificent. My compliments to the chef. A delight to the senses to be sure, every bite was truly savoured. I donβt think the price is too bad for what you get. Quality and quantity perfectly balanced. The service was also very good and I would like to recognise the waiters and waitresses who were very attentive. If youβre staying over at the Hilton at Manchester airport and you fancy a bite, what more could you ask for? As for the other dishes I cannot say for sure, but the Ox Cheek Ragu was the highlight for me.

Stayed at the DoubleTree the night before a morning flight so was essentially a captive audience for Mason's. Whilst the service was a little hit-and-miss ( purely down to there not being enough waiters not the waiters' efficiency or abilities ) and the prices slightly high ( as you may expect in a monopolised situation ), the quality of food was top drawer. In particular, the Sri Lankan cod was magnificent, better than most of the meals we ended up with on holiday !

Underwhelming!! Food is so average, not seasoned. Staff not at all attentive, took 15 mins to place my order and that only happened because I got up and walked over to where 3 staff members were talking. I sat there for ages waiting between starter and main course and currently sat here with my dirty main course plate to the side for past 15mins waiting to see a dessert menu! Ill be asking for the bill instead! King prawns not really king prawns and needed a steak knife for Duck. Only positive is the presentation of the food. Avoid!! Do yourself a favour and take a short walk to the Clayton, much betteR service and food! Note: this was not a busy time and there was at least 6 to 8 staff in the area. I would understand if especially busy!

What a let down, they are lucky to be in the hotel as thatβs only way they get customers. The food was alright and thatβs about all the good points for this establishment. Drinks are over priced and very limited, the staff are shockingly rude. When you ask for condiments they bring you some pathetic sashays of sauces and again when asking for more the staff was very visibly annoyed heβd been asked to do something again. If you are going to stay at the Hilton for an evening Iβd get food before you arrive.

Food quality is good, however having to flag down a waiter to order or get your receipt shouldn't be part of the customer experience. Food and drinks took the time for two-trees to grow (awhile) to arrive after flagging down waiters, often coming at the same time in non-peak traffic. Staff often seemed to be walking around not up to much, but very quick to retrieve dirty plates or glasses. Only if the means to make those dirty came out as fast.

As has been said previously, this place has a particular captive group of guests and that is reflected in price and menu however saying that the food is hot and tasty (pasta dish ordered). Drinks however are extortionate. Β£7.00 for a small glass of wine is even beyond city centre or London process
