Food was made fresh and was really nice. Massive portion of chips and really good reasonable price especially compared to other chippys round here. New local chippy!

'Just been fried!' I think more than once ! The chips were a mixture of rubbery chips and fresh chips which were completely inedible I feared for my teeth .. how do u mess up chips ? Ask the fryery nice atmos tho.

Superb service from Melissa @ The Fryery, great Gluten free battered cod & tasty mushy peas. Also lovely alternative to the Hollandβs pies also on offer via a home made cheese n onion pie which was lovely, if youβve not tried then definitely recommended βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

I've only been once, which was early January 2020, best chippy I've had in all my life, I'm shocked by the reviews I just don't get it.. I got fish and mushy peas, plus chips and Irish curry, and a scallop I'm actually sat here waiting for it to open again so I can have some more.. what a scran!

The food is variable. One day the chips are soggy, the next they're crisp. The puddings and rag puddings - what the hell do they do to them? They're often brown and look like they have been cooked to death! They need to get someone in to show them how to cook! At least double (or triple) fry the chips and sort out what's going on with the cooking of the puddings. Its poor and they need to do something before it is abandoned by the customers. It is in a prime location but the food seriously let's it down.

The fish itself was ok but the batter was all wrong , thick and stodgy like you sometimes find in chinese chip shops. You need to get your batter light and crispy and mine was the opposite. If you dont get your fish and chips spot on customers will go elsewhere.

Waited for months for it to open then went for tea, the biggest pile of rubbish I've ever eaten! The scallops were that hard I had to use a steak knife!! The sausage was recooked about 3 times and dried up!! Disgusting food!
