Lovely friendly place in a run down area. This is our first visit to Manchester so relied on Google to advise us of where decent to eat and it didn't disappoint. Amazing greek food, reasonable price and staff were lovely. More than happy to recommend
I stumbled on this restaurant by accident while riding the trams in Manchester. The food was excellent. I highly recommend if a visit if you’re ever in Eccles. The restaurant is close to the tram terminus.
Absolutely Brilliant, Delicious food,nice music ,brilliant interior and wonderfull Staff ! All was freshly made,cant ask for more. Do I recommend it,yes 101% . I will visit again with the family for sure !
Exquisite food cooked fresh and attentive service. I have had a meal here on two different occasions, previously an evening meal and today lunch. Both times, the food was truly superb tasting and attractively presented. And the Greek soft drink, Loux, was a pleasant surprise, especially the Cherry flavour. It was thicker and less fizzy than what I am used to. This restaurant is located in a beautiful, old, stone, corner building that once housed a branch of Nat West bank. Parking is an issue. We cheekily availed of 90 minutes of free parking at the big Morrison's supermarket opposite. But this wasn't enough as food at the Illirian takes time to cook. Next time, and there will be a next time, I fear we will have to forgo our delicious desserts - tiramisu and baklava - instead of living dangerously when it comes to parking.
Amazing food. We walked in on a saturday early evening and sat down for a meal, quick service and everything cooked and prepped fresh and quickly. The food was exactly what we wanted, delicious and flavourful. The beers were a little restricted but there was an OK selection to go with the food. These guys clearly have figured out the balance between sit in and take away brilliantly so you can benefit from both sides. All around an extremely great place to eat.
we visited here in a party of 12 and were thoroughly impressed. the service was fast and efficient and it was brilliant value. most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. i had the lamb chops for main (with the feta cheese sauce which was immense) plus pitta and hummus to start. bottles of mythos, too - can't go wrong! very much recommend this place if you're in the area.
Wow we really enjoyed our meal here this evening. Chicken gyros, Greek wine, beer and baked feta with tomato. All very delicious. Huge portion with lots of chicken and fries. Definitely worth a visit. Friendly staff. Lovely and clean too. We will be back.
This place was a great surprise for us. Quality food, affordable price, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We can’t wait to come back and try every thing that they have in the menu.
