   Had an amazing dinner; the fish tacos, and halloumi and broccoli dish were our favourites. Enjoyed the wine and we shared the basque cheesecake to finish. Food was sensational and all the staff really friendly and we didn't feel rushed considering it was a Friday evening.

   This restaurant was recommended to me when I arrived at my hotel just up the road. I seemed to have lucked in, going there on a special menu night where a starter and main were £23. The menu is creatively Spanish themed and the food very well presented and flavoursome. I can especially recommend the herb crusted goat cheese on potatoes and spinach with a provencal sauce and red capsicum compote. Delicious!

   Two of us stopped in for a few plates for lunch. The restaurant is in a great location and the seating by the window was fab on such a warm day. The food was tasty, but I think it was just a bit underwhelming for the price. Also little things like not listing how many items you get per portion (e.g. 3 croqueta to share between 2 is a bit annoying - I'd rather pay more to get 4), it's sad to get odd/even number items depending on the party size.

   We visited Blacksticks after a long walk, thinking tapas would be the perfect thing to share between friends and it was a great choice. Between us, we ordered the cheese and meat board, broccoli with halloumi, extra chorizo, patatas bravas, crème brûlée, and baked cheesecake. I also fancied a shandy for a change, which went down nicely with the food. Everything was well-presented and tasted fresh. The service was attentive and friendly throughout, which really added to the experience. That said, I was a little underwhelmed by the cheese board at £14, I was expecting a bit more variety, but it was mostly just manchego and same meats. Still, it was tasty, just not quite what I hoped for. The standout of the meal was definitely the baked cheesecake with raspberry coulis beautifully done. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I’d be happy to return to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

   Lovely establishment. Tables, cutlery and building was clean and vibrant. We went for the mixed meat platter and some of the small plates. Mini chorizo came out a little cold however the meatballs and ham croquettes are to die for. Friendly service. Thank you for having us!

   Dinner reservation for 2. Tapas starter a little bland, calamari like rubber bands. Apart from that, fillet steak was nice, but not worth the price. Staff were somewhat nonchalant, especially the one with love heart earrings. Be a while before we visit again.

   We found this place by accident while visiting Manchester. The food is of excellent quality. The chilling vibe and well-decorated interior. The staff is accommodating, friendly and provides excellent service. Fish with sauce was melting in my mouth. It was perfection! Highly recommended.

   Good quality food. Great service. I loved the caramel pudding, just delicious; maybe my only criticism is the frites, the frites were a little overdone. I'd say perhaps rustic steak chips would be better. Overall, a fabulous experience with excellent service. We are looking forward to coming back!

   Absolutely incredible! Food was 10/10, staff were super friendly and the service was very efficient. We had the Roast dinner (available on Sundays), and finished off with Sticky Toffee Pudding. Wonderful atmosphere, will certainly be revisiting!
