   Highly recommend Al Khans! Switched over to here when The Hilal sadly closed where we'd eaten for over 30 years. We now travel from Rochdale to pick up a takeout as often as we can justify. The chicken madras is absolutely superb. Beautiful Indian food freshly prepared and lovely staff, wish we lived closer!!

   First visit recently. Heard some good things about it. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Very nice seekh kebabs, fresh naan and chapatis. Main course very nice but nothing amazing. Definitely had a lot worse. Main criticism would be not very much meat in the dish. Would go again though

   We went for a fantastic family birthday meal for 12 people. The staff are lovely very friendly and very attentive. Food delightful and they catered for a vegan in the group with no problem. Highly recommended. Lovely evening had by us all :)

   Was told this was a good curry place for a takeaway. Ordered the lamb samber, chicken samber and plain vegetable curry. The vegetable curry looked nice but had no taste at all and was watery. The lamb and chicken samber were both tasteless with no hint of spice etc, very bland. The mushroom rice and nan bread were good. Rather expensive. Will stick to our usual takeaway.

   Popadums cooked freshly. But that is where it dropped right off. The chopped onion popodum side was very dry and tasteless. Beef madras was horrendous tough and chewy beef not seared before cooking. The sauce was like a generic curry sauce that had more pepper to give it some kick. Instead of being made spicy by using fresh gram and curry massala and spices. Had a better supermarket bottled madras sauce. Chapattis were wet and soggy. Sorry chaps. But you either need change the chef or buy him a Pat Chapmans cook book !!

   The food here is always great whether it be take away or eat in. The service is excellent and the small venue is light and pleasant whether busy or like our recent visit quiet. Highly recommended.

   Went for a family meal prior to nephew and his wife returning back to Canada. There were nine of us who orderd a variety of different meals. Everybody agreed food was excellent and because you can take your own drinks the overall price was very reasonable. I don't normally do reviews but on this occasion it's very appropriate.
