   The food was absolutely shocking. The chips were old, not fresh, and clearly cooked in old oil. The curry was basically just warmed-up water with absolutely no flavour. The chicken chaat was awful – everything tasted the same. I would not recommend this place at all. Very poor cooking – bad, bad chef. Binned the food got my money back

   We had a great family meal at A Taste of East this evening to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. We all thought that the food was delicious. Though the decor is tired and without glamour, the manager made us feel welcome and ensure that they fulfilled our dining expectations. I recommend this restaurant if you love delicious Indian food.

   One of the worst in customer service. I am deeply hurt by the attitude of the person when I entered the hotel. The manager asked us to sit on a table which was dark having no light. So we decided to sit on the adjacent table. The whole restaurant was vacant and had no reservations/bookings. He did not allow us to sit on the adjacent table stating ‘Brother, you are in a restaurant, if the manager is telling you something you should do that and that if you don’t want to sit there you can leave’ I am deeply hurt and would never recommend this restaurant to anybody. Sorry

   Just had a chicken shaslick, the chicken was dry, the onions and pepper, s were burnt, the madras sauce was red and just tasted off chilli, madras should be brown in colour, with a true shaslick it should be served with rice, salad with lemon and the sauce off your choice, wish i had just gone for a pizza

   I moved into Patricroft in August and have tried a couple of takeaways/restaurants. I am dubious when ordering from a new place, but had no need to be this time. I had a Tandoori mixed grill and it was fantastic. Flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be ordering again from here. Keep up your excellent work!

   I don't even know where to start with this review. We ordered a delivery, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive. We were missing our onion and mango which we ordered. We opened the pilau rice tubs and they were half full. We sat down to eat the food and it was freezing, literally freezing so we all had to put our food in the microwave. We live 2 minutes drive away from the takeaway. The delivery driver returned with mango and onion, we ordered 2 of each, we only received 1 mango. Then to make it worse the mango pot wasn't even half full. Not only did they get the order incorrect first time round, even when they returned it was still wrong. They offer us half price for next time, we won't even be taking that up as they can't even send full servings.
