   I honestly really appreciate the carvery here at Barley Farm. I’ve used several of the Farmhouse Inns, regularly over the years, but this one in particular has improved massively—especially when it comes to the carvery. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. A big thank you to the chefs; it’s clear the food is cooked with care. The meats have been consistently spot on lately, the vegetables are mostly al dente, and the trimmings are beautifully cooked. That level of consistency is rare on carvery in my opinion, and it’s what keeps me coming back. Thanks to the chefs, think they are Lee and Simon.

   We had a really disappointing experience at this carvery. The portions of meat were shockingly small – barely enough for a decent meal. We ordered two desserts: an apple crumble and a mint choc chip ice cream. The crumble arrived 10-15 minutes before we even had to remind them about the ice cream. By the time they finally brought the ice cream, we had to leave, so I ended up eating it in the car. To top it all off, I found a piece of sharp plastic in the ice cream! Definitely won’t be returning and would not recommend this place at all.

   Great home cooked tasty food which is so much better then a mcdonald’s for a quick mid week meal when you’re too tired to cook. They have a big kids area to keep the little ones entertained as well. One of the team members Laura was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Checking if we had everything we needed and more. Thanks again

   Firstly let me start by saying that the server Antonia is an absolute credit to this establishment. Kind, attentive and a smile on her face throughout the service . I have a visible disability and she made sure I was seen to throughout my full meal . The lady on the desk forgot my straw and she made sure to grab it for me ! The food was pleasant but not outstanding but once again Antonia came to the rescue and made sure to refill my salt and pepper when I mentioned it was out . As she was taking away my plates she recommend me the “mars attack “ cake and my goodness was it great great portion size and came with options of custard , cream or ice cream Will definitely be returning

   Got there at lunchtime and it was lovely and quiet. I went for the standard carvery and the other half had the chicken burger. The carvery was lovely and fresh with good sizes of meat. The chicken burger was good, apparently, but the coleslaw let it down. All in all a good quick stop off for a lunch that was hot and a good size. The cake slices were huge!

   We came today for lunch to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday. Ashleigh the manager, Maria and Katie were amazing nothing was too much trouble. They were so helpful and friendly. The food was lovely, the portions were huge! The whole experience was fantastic. We hope to come back soon. Thank you so much for an amazing day we all loved it x

   I was greeted by Beth, she was on front of house/ bar lovely very polite and welcoming. When I went over to get a carvery, I was met by Kyle and Ellis who apologised as they were in the back restocking the veg! The value for money is fantastic and the staff are so kind and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you!

   Was pleasantly surprised as we used to frequent it quite a lot before Covid closed everywhere down. We would go after flying at Barton for a drink and something to eat and had got out of the Habit so going on the spur of the moment paid dividends as we decided to go with the Carvery. More than enough food which was really good and we stayed much longer than we anticipated drink and just enjoying the company and the atmosphere: Thank You to all the staff involved. Would Recommend.

   Some of the food wasn't too bad, but my nephew had to cut his mashed potato with a knife looked more like playdough than food. Was rather warm an stuffy, also the app wasn't working very well so my sister had to place our order at the bar. On the plus side I enjoyed my cake away.
