   Really sorry to be posting this as we have been customers of China Jade for a very long time. It used to be a real treat, but the quality has declined massively in the last year or so. We have ordered a few times in recent history and the first time we got a dud order I put it down to them being incredibly busy, it happens. But we have since ordered 2 or 3 more times and it has been consistently bad (more fool us). So we have run out of chances to give and will be changing. A real shame as we were regular customers and it’s so disappointing when quality declines. It has never been the cheapest Chinese but we were happy to pay a bit more for better quality. In fact I would go so far as to say if you returned back to the quality standards previously I would happily accept a bump in price. But to be paying a premium and delivering substandard food isn’t right, and there are places very nearby that offer a better standard for less. Looking forward hopefully to a change for the better.

   This place used to be the best in Leeds for well over 20 years. I think it must have changed hands as the food is not as good as it used to be. Who puts spring rolls in batter! Sweet and sour prawn Cantonese style.. Again in lots of batter. It's a real shame if they don't get back to where they used to be.

   The salt and chilli king prawns were so good and delivery was super quick but everything else was awful - the fried rice was hard and lacked flavour and chicken satay had no taste at all. Ordered here a couple weeks ago and it was good but after this experience I won’t order again.

   I don’t think this takeaway should be rated as high as what it is because it was disgusting. The chips tasted like oven chips, the egg fried rice was just boil in the bag with egg, the noodles were pure mush, the curry sauce wasn’t great. Only thing the chicken was ok and service was friendly but would not come back here.

   The main meal was okay BUT the starters ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. So hence 3 stars. The chicken balls - I was expecting those lovely round juices chicken balls like the fish ones you see in the Chinese supermarkets. But what I got was chicken nuggets. Even worse the batter was thick hard and horrible annd over salted. And the chicken dry. The salt and pepper ribs were dry as Gandhi’s flip flops. There was very little meat on them and angain over salted. And the chips very dry. So DO NOT ORDER CHICKEN BALLS DO NOT ORDER RIBS and DO NOT ORDER CHIPS. Main dish was average - young chow rice and chicken black bean sauce. The old china jade was exceptional out of this world. The people who took over (I think they took over 3-5 years ago) are not as good. The new owners NEED to stop buying the cheaper version products from their Chinese wholesalers. And start buying the more quality versions available from their wholesalers. They also need to stop watering down the sauces. I should have given them 2 stars not 3. But I was in a good mood today until I got my food!!! My day today was good and the food just ruined the end. I feel a bit sick now like I’ve eaten junk food. This is the third time I have ordered with them and they have improved from the first time. But the second time they were just ok and this time below ok. So I think I have learnt my lesson and time to find another Chinese takeaway. Shame as this is so close to me and I used to love them. I hope they read this as say ‘we will definitely try and change’ rather than their usual ‘we are sorry please come in and tell us your name and we will give you a refund’. A refund does not make up for the day they just ruined and how sick I now feel. PS. I gave three stars because I do firmly believe they are nice people who do want to provide a nice good service rather than just make money

   Phenomenal!! This place is the best and has always been. Idk what the little shredded chicken things are, but they are without doubt the best tasting thing i’ve ever eaten in my 41 years of existence! Everything else was amazing too. The salt n pepper chips and wings had the perfect amount of spice. The sauce in the chow mein was next level and the beef was cooked to perfection. The best!

   Highly recommend. We normally use deliveroo as we’re fussy, but thought we’d try something closer to home and we were really impressed. Non-greasy, full of flavour and none of those horrid post-takeaway feels. The lady on the phone was lovely too!
