Ate here today with myself and my sister, fridges/ heaters were stocked and there was a nice variety of food as usual, as I got to the counter/ till I was spoken to very rudely and abruptly by a member of staff who spoke over me when I asked for a drink in the fridge next to her, she then didn’t charge me for the drink and when I asked about the price as I hadn’t realised the drink didn’t make it to my receipt she began to tell me I was too quiet and that I need to be more clearer , I then paid for my drink separately after telling her that yes I would still like a drink to go with my food. I then sat down and realised I had picked up one of the wrong boxes , simple human mistake, I went to the fridge and grabbed what I actually wanted which was cheaper than the box I had paid for, I went back to the counter with both boxes and my receipt and began to explain and asked if there was any way I could swap my sealed box of mistaken sushi with the new cheaper one. NO I was told, I then explained again and said it was still shut and I had only been away from this counter 90 seconds ago. NO. Lovely response again, no explanation just NO. I then asked if I could just be refunded and then purchase the sushi I would actually like. NO. Again no explanation just shouted the one word at me. In the end I felt humiliated and the queue was growing behind me that I just gave up. I said ok could you just throw this away for me please as I won’t eat it. “ throw it away yourself” . I left the counter and got a lovely meal elsewhere. Wasabi has always been great but I think the lack of training in customer service today really showed and now you have lost a loyal customer.

I went to the food court today feeling very hungry, and I was genuinely happy to see Wasabi – a brand I know and trust from Cambridge. I headed straight for the soups and asked the staff member (a British woman) where the soups are supposed to be heated. She simply replied, “It’s soup,” to which I responded, “Yes, I know – but do you heat it in the microwave?” Her reluctant and dismissive “yes” followed by walking away was frustrating and unprofessional. She wasn’t wearing a name tag or a uniform either, which made the interaction feel even more careless. I honestly should’ve walked away at that point, but when I saw the Asian lady at the counter, I felt a bit of hope and decided to go ahead with my order. Unfortunately, what I received was nothing short of disappointing. The salad in the sweet chili chicken bowl was nearly nonexistent, as you can see in the photo. The pilau rice tasted like leftover sushi rice – bland and dry. There was absolutely no sweetness to the dish, no pineapple, and no balance – just spicy. The sushi was another letdown: the salmon slices were so thin it was almost laughable. If you care about your brand image, I strongly urge you to review this location and increase quality control measures. I deeply regret not reading the reviews before ordering – I paid £19 for a tasteless meal. I will be returning tomorrow to make my complaint in person. If this had been my first experience with Wasabi, I honestly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The only positive note I can give is the Asian lady’s friendly smile – the one bright spot in the whole visit. Also, the kitchen looked quite messy, which didn't inspire any confidence either.

am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent visit to your restaurant. Around 4pm, I received a dish with Korean barbecue chicken that was not fresh, lacked sauce, and was very dry, which caused immediate stomach discomfort. When I mentioned this, the staff tried to convince me that the chicken was fresh and the sauce was inside, which was not the case. Despite requesting a fresh portion, the chicken katsu and noodles were also old and very dry, but I didn’t notice this at first. Additionally, when I requested sparkling water, I was informed that it couldn't be entered into the system, and I was given still water instead, which added to my disappointment. Moreover, the staff did not offer a receipt for my purchase, which is unacceptable. I have visited your Bluewater location many times without issues, but every visit to the Lakeside branch has resulted in stomach upset. This time, it was particularly severe. I believe it's important for other customers to be aware and for the management to take immediate action to ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.

Our eatery of choice almost every time we shop at Lakeside. My usual order is Chicken Katsu Curry (either with rice or yakisoba), and either Mango or Yuzu flavoured Aloe Vera to drink (place stopped selling Plum Tea a few years back; shame since that was my favourite drink to order). Tasty food as usual, and very filling for the portion you receive. Shame that food court seating isn't the cleanest or the tidiest, but of course that's Lakeside's responsibility to maintain.

I ordered on Deliveroo and they brought me the wrong order I then called them and they couldn’t do anything about it. Wasted 30 pound for a ten pound small box in which I didn’t order. Do not recommend

Use to go there for sweet chili chicken, but the buttered chicken is changed. Since it changed 3 tries within 3 months and its still the same rubish. The cheesecake is top notch but the sweet chili chicken need to be looked at by the management.
