Went to wilmslow road in search of samosa chaat and didn't knew where to go asked a girl/shop keeper where to go she said Ambala is the best and yes their samosa chaat was fresh and good ,they made as we asked and desi chai/ tea was very good also we tried some sweets with tea and Habshi halwa and barfi was very nice so we bought a box to take home also Guys were very cooperative and polite and helped us choose things and we had some good chat aswell

My late father would buy mithai from the original branch next to Euston train station in London in the 1970s and bring it all the way home to Glasgow. When my brother was born in 1978, he had laddoo sent to Glasgow as well, such is the quality of their products. Ambala has a long tradition in this country and as far as me and my family are concerned, serves the best mithai by a country mile. It isn't too sweet and rich like competitors and the quality is consistent across all their branches. Manchester is our hometown now and this branch is our go-to for all things mithai related. Nowhere else comes close!!

Today (26 Feb 2025) I had a terrible experience with Pani Puri from Ambala Sweets, which my wife bought for us. The food was extremely sour and completely inedible. It tasted spoiled, making me question their hygiene and food quality. It seems like they don’t know how to prepare it properly or are selling expired ingredients. The taste was off, and we couldn’t even finish it. Very disappointing service and quality. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for fresh and tasty street food.

I recently bought a mix of assorted barfi , the small coloured balls were buttery and disgusting and the rest were unpleasant and overpriced. I have eaten Indian sweets from many many places however this place is the worst! Waste!

Great Indian sweets especially kajju Katrina and gajar ka halfway. The gulab Jamoon are all just too sweet. None of the burfi have any real milk khawa. All the sweet shops use atta/ powder. That's just standard business practice. "If u can't make or get real ingredients Fake it" people will continue ue to buy as they have no other option.

Brought mitai from here and halwa puri, absolutely loved it, would definitely buy again. The quality of food is excellent. Only gave 4* because the staff could be a little more polite and friendly. When staff are such it makes ones experience memorable and better.

I love Ambala. And usually staff are pleasant. This time the experience was not as good. Service left alot to be desired. I live their veg samosa especially their side sauce that comes wit it. But the gentleman was very rude when I requested were the usually chutney was that went with it. Not going to be returning to that branch again. Thank you.
