I came here expecting to be blown away based on the multitude of positive reviews and because it came out on top when I searched top halal Indian restaurants near me. I am thoroughly disappointed. The atmosphere is bland and dull. Only two other customers. It feels cold and my feet have gone numb. I had to get the writer's attention to place my order and request the bill even though I was one only three diners and it is clearly not busy at all. The waiter went out for at least two cigarette breaks which meant that the food was served with a strong stench of tobacco. I ordered the chilli chicken tikka masala with pilau rice. The portions were disappointingly small; there were more chillies and sauce than actual chicken tikka pieces; the pilau rice tasted moist as though it hadn't cooked properly; the chilli chicken tikka had only one flavour - chilli. Very underwhelming for a top rated restaurant. For haloodies, check the menu carefully as many dishes contain alcohol despite being advertised as a halal restaurant. This is one of those very rare occasions when I managed to finish my meal and still feel hungry! I would not recommend unless you had nowhere else to go and were looking for a below-average curry. There were also no complimentary after-curry chocolates to wash out my palate!

Found here on a visit to Bury and so glad we did. Lamb Bengal was stunning. I would like to take it home with me. Unfortunately I ate the lot (good sized portion). Keema nan out of this world. King Prawn Pasanda reported as excellent. Peshawari nan as good as the Keema. We recommend wholeheartedly. Lovely people and excellent service.

The food is delicious. We had a starter and a main and it was more than enough. The papadums with sauces were also really tastefull. It was worth the walk from our campingsite in Bury. Nice service and very clean, plenty of good food.

Working in the area and tried The Ruposhi based on Google reviews, highest scoring in walking distance. We were not disappointed. The staff were attentive without being pushy. Removed unwanted items from the table quickly and asked if we were ready for the next course before bringing it out. All the food was fresh and very tasty. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Really well done to all the staff.

First time here tonight and wasn’t disappointed. The food was lovely and fresh and very tasty and all very reasonably priced - we will defiantly be back. Recommend the Punjabi Lamb curry and Bombay chicken.

The Ruposhi is our favourite Indian restaurant in Bury. The food and drinks are good I am booked taking 17 in a few weeks for our family Christmas gathering. Last I booked and took nearly 30 and the Ruposhi seated us all together with no worries .

They're back & open for business, the food is great, the staff are lovely as always. We opted for a takeaway. But it won't be long before we'll be sat down in the restaurant.
