⭐ 1 Star – Absolutely Disgusting Experience at Spice india bolton – Never Again I honestly don’t even know where to start with this review because what happened to me at Spice India Bolton was beyond shocking. This has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had with any takeaway in my life. I called them earlier in the evening to place an order over the phone. The person told me it would be ready to collect in 30 minutes, which sounded fine. I arrived right on time — thinking I’d just walk in, grab my food, and go home to eat. But when I got there, the staff said my order wasn’t ready yet and asked me to wait “just 10 minutes.” I waited patiently, didn’t complain, and gave them the benefit of the doubt. After 10 minutes, I asked again and was told, “it’ll be 20 minutes more.” I was already getting frustrated because I’d now been waiting 40 minutes total. The place wasn’t even that busy, and nobody seemed to care that customers were standing around waiting. No apology, no explanation — just attitude. I waited over an hour in total, still no food, and not once did anyone come to update me or even say sorry for the delay. Finally, one of the staff said my order was ready. I paid and took the bag outside, relieved that I could finally go home and eat. But just as I reached my car, a worker ran out shouting that I’d been given the wrong order. I was shocked. I went straight back in to sort it out, expecting them to fix the mistake. But instead, it turned into a complete nightmare. When I went back inside, the same worker started raising his voice, being rude and disrespectful, and even started using racist and offensive words towards me. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I stayed calm and just said, “Look, either give me the correct food or refund my money.” Instead of helping, he got aggressive, started swearing, and told me he’s not giving me anything — not the food, not my money. I was completely stunned. The situation got so bad that other customers in the shop were staring. The man’s attitude was disgusting. I’ve never been treated with such racism and disrespect in a place that calls itself a restaurant. There was absolutely no professionalism, no manners, and no customer service at all. I left the shop feeling angry and humiliated. I had wasted over an hour waiting, paid for food I never received, and got verbally abused on top of that. It’s unbelievable that a business can treat customers this way and think it’s acceptable. This place needs to be reported for how they treat people. I would never recommend Spice India Bolton to anyone. The staff have no respect, no organisation, and clearly no understanding of basic customer service. They don’t deserve even one star. If you value your time, your money, or your self-respect — stay far away from this takeaway. I’ll be warning everyone I know not to order from there ever again. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and the worst experience I’ve ever had.

This place is rough, it's ready, it's all the things you want in a good solid place that serves good food, no frills. Yes, I wish the interior was smarter but the staff make up for any lack of pizazz! The food is nicely presented, salads fresh and the desi food really tasty. Finish off with salted paratha and desi Karak chaii and it's worth the visit. I've been several times and rarely disappointed.

I visited your restaurant recently and had a very disappointing experience. Despite the restaurant not being busy, I waited for 20 minutes without being assisted by the cashier. When I finally asked about my to attend me I was told it would take another 30 minutes because it was the weekend. I had already been trying to call them since the evening, but instead of addressing the issue politely, the cashier was rude. This kind of service feels very unorganized and unprofessional, and it left me with a very negative impression.

Hosted by family of the owners to a complimentary meal. Everything was homemade tasting, flavourful and not too spicy. The mango chutney sauce was very unique with the poppadoms. Thank you very much all, may you blessed in your business with success and goodness!

I don't know what is going on here, but they need someone on the phone. I've been going here for years. Honestly the best curry I've had when you can get one. I've tried tonight alone 10 times just rings, then try again and it's engaged. Very poor at the minute

Absolutely poor quality and service. Kebab was at a very poor standard too dry, only lettuce in the nan. No cucumber or onions. Very poor. Even complained about the Kebab, yet still got fully charged. Not coming back..

I went recently and people were waiting 45 minutes to an hour just for a curry. I personally waited 2 hours for a curry, kebab and a paratha. Wasted my time standing for what I was told was going to be another 15 minutes after the 40 minutes I was told on the phone. It was not even as busy with only 3 tables of people eating in the shop and only 4 others came in whilst I waited over an hour! Never going again!
