   I have been twice here now and both times the fish and chips have been really vile the fish is dripping with grease , I even took it out of the batter and put out in on kitchen roll and it was cold and slimy in the mouth it was vile the chips was luke warm I put it in the bin it was rancid it’s proper bin food, you can’t get the good old traditional fish and chips anymore from anywhere I will never eat from here ever again .

   I’m on a quest to find really good fish and chips, but unfortunately, this chippy missed the mark. The fish had no flavor, and the kebabs were just okay—not memorable. I guess the search for that perfect fish and chips continues!

   I only discovered this chip shop about six months ago and it's right on the way home from work. I've only been a few times so far but every time the food has been perfect. It's really difficult to find a consistently good chippy these days, but Ryecroft serve great food every time.

   Usually use this chip shop & all is fine, went tonight every meal was dry and overcooked not to mention they charged extra 50p to put beans in a pot for kids meal when they don’t usually! Overpriced rubbish. Nobody ate there meals all went in the bin. £18.30 for chicken meat and chips, pie and chips, sausage and chips kids meal & 2 cans of coke.

   First time visit today and it was so worth it. Had fish and chips with mushy peas The fish was outstanding no grease just a lovely crunch to the batter and the cod was so thick and tasty. I eat a lot of fish so I know a good cod when I see one. The chips again no grease and they sell both types of chips Batter or regular. Well worth a visit I will be using this chippy again.

   Now my new regular chippy. Great food at reasonable prices for decent portions. Only the fourth time I've been there (twice a couple of years ago and twice this week) and I was a little short of cash at the final bill but they very kindly let me off. Really appreciated and the next time I am there have promised to pay the additional 61p! Now a guaranteed regular customer because of this.
