Absolutely appalling. The bar manager(owner) was rude from the moment we arrived, began arguing with one of our party and then had the nerve to suggest that we leave. Despite having pre-ordered, there was no place set up for us and they had run out of meals we had pre-ordered. A staggering level of incompetence. The food that was available was poor quality, the drinks were grossly overpriced, and the whole place is clearly far too full of itself for what it actually delivers. Arrogant attitude, terrible service, and a completely ghastly experience. I have told everyone I know to avoid the Fat Olive at all costs!

Been today for a Christmas meal. We were a party of 85 … absolutely first class service. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Serving 85 of us was no mean fete and they did it perfectly..all food was piping hot and delicious. Great service. Thank you and well done from a bunch of retired folk x

Been a few times, this time there were new faces serving, the Italian style has vanished and replaced by a.n.other. A restaurant is a place of high quality cleanliness especially as there is food being served. Waiters should have aprons, that way spills and marks to shirts won't occur or seen. Although the service was fast and efficient, appearances of the main waiter needs a little more care and attention. Food as always was very nice and well presented. Average prices support these ample sized dishes so unless you are picky, you'll have a reasonable choice to make with the selection on the menu. This is a must go to restaurant, keeping catering going before we see get another one close it's doors.

Had my wedding reception here 3 weeks ago, the staff was more than helpful in the planning, and everyone said how great the food was in the day, so much so we have booked to go back for to special birthdays that are coming up.

Felt really welcomed on entering the restaurant, staff were lovely and attentive. We were seated and asked for drinks and they were brought promptly. We ordered the lamb rump and the pork three ways, no starters as I noticed they offered a cheese board for dessert! Food was amazing so was the service. Highly recommend.

Been a few times here and it's always been a nice experience. The staff are great, the food is really good. On the latest visit for a family meal, I'd ordered a steak, cooked beautifully, would highly recommend. Update, came again for a birthday meal with the family, ordered the same steak again, just as amazing as last time, perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic, cannot fault these guys whatsoever. The price for the food is unbelievable - in a good way - great value for what you get, staff are just as friendly and inviting as always. This place is ran amazingly well

Booked for Christmas Day 2022 4pm sitting. 10min late to sit down as the 12pm booking hadn’t finished. It went downhill from there. 1h wait for starters then further 1.5h wait for mains which were lukewarm and the potatoes raw. Had to abandon the rest of the meal to get our baby home for her medications and bottle for bed left at 18:40 so didn’t get any dessert or afters. At £85 for a party of 10 can honestly say it wasn’t worth £15 each at best. No apology from management. Waiters/waitresses kept saying we were in a queue yet it was a set booking. My mum is diabetic so to wait 2.5h for food when she had had her insulin is dangerous. Avoid at all costs! We have had good food from here previously however they had seriously misjudged how to take a mass booking and had overbooked as multiple families were complaining at the same time as ourselves with children crying due to being hungry.

I've been here a couple of times now, food is great. It's a quaint little restaurant. Service was brilliant. It was always for an occasion and staff made it a lovely experience, I know big tables can be hard to service and we appreciate the care taken. Thank you.
