Had some nice food then noticed you need to register your car to avoid a fine. Having the man behind the bar reply with a beaming smile saying we would definitively be sent a fine isnt the best way of replying (he did say we could appeal and maybe it would be cancelled) Seems to be the modern way that some businesses go - they rent out the car park to a 3rd party of leeches who prey on customers not noticing that you have to register as soon as you park up - they then split the fines with the pub.. No good saying there were plenty of notices because as always they are very small and not as noticeable - I mean who goes to a pub to read all the small print. This is a pub that no one walks to so why not have the staff remind customers? Or would that reduce the parking fine income?

I had an Excellent! experience and meal at the Ridgacre, thanks mainly to Drew the manager. Got to say out of all the restaurants I eat at while working away from home this is to date the most pleasant and friendliest yet! . Drew (Andrew i believe for his Sunday name) the manager was genuinely attentative and accommodating on a busy evening last night. Loved the way he referred to desserts as Puds, "are you ready for your pudding" saw him check in on the majority of diners while I was here and nothing appeared to be too much for him and constantly smiling. Ate here 2 nights running and for 2 breakfasts while staying at the adjacent Premier Inn, the young guy who greeted and served breakfast was equally, consistently friendly and the young girls on tables. Thank you Drew and Team

Been here a few times and service has always been fantastic. This time we decided to come pretty last minute, we booked last night for a table of 15 for today and they got us in no problems, and service was absolutely fantastic yet again. Brilliant vegan and veggie options, great sized portions, reasonably priced and always so friendly and happy to help. Wonderful family pub, we’ll always come here for our family meals! ❤️

Stayed for 2 weeks on a business trip. Overall food is of a good standard, staff are very friendly. Could sometimes wait a while to receive a drink. Vicky the manager is spot on, very bubbly and likeable. I will be returning soon for another 2 weeks in the near future.

Not been here for a few years, but we decided to stop here for food on way home.. can't fault the place at all. Staff are really nice and friendly and can't do enough for you. Tried the mini pies trio which are very nice indeed... highly recommend... good selection of food and drink and pub is warm and welcoming. Will definitely return again soon.

Staff were welcoming and polite as always. Last time there diners were having long waits between courses & for drinks, but this time everything was much more efficient. Food was good, could have been hotter but tasted fine. The fish n chips are very good & cheaper than the local chippy! Dessert very tasty & noone rushing us to clear the table as has been elsewhere. Will return soon.

I tend to come here to enjoy the lovely beer garden in the summer. Popped in today at lunchtime with the weather hitting almost 40°C. Relaxed under a parasol with a cider, and then ordered food from the daytime menu, with two meals for £9.49. The staff here are very friendly and polite, like to the point that you notice how nice they are. Fantastic service. The food was great, I expected the quality to diminish with the price, but it really didn't. Definitely recommend.
