Delicious food, large portions and very good value for money. The staff were friendly and the service was brilliant. The bathrooms were clean. I will definitely be visiting again. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great late lunch in this cozy, authentic Romanian eating place. I had just come back from a quick break in Romania so wanted to compare the food here, and it did not disappoint. Friendly service, good prices, amazing cold starters (Romanian cheeses and smoked meats), followed by smoked lamb (lamb pastrami) with polenta and pickles and schnitzel with chips. The glass of Romanian wine was so-so, but the home-made cherry liqueur was brilliant. Note that they only make one type of soup per day as it is made fresh, so the one I wanted today wasn't on, but that means when you have soup, it is made specially that day. I'm no expert, but I'd say, home-made Romanian comfort food, with friendly people in a homely atmosphere, with fresh flowers on the table....yeah, a really nice place!
Wow and wow again. This place is a super find and I will be back. I now get why the star reviews are so high. Super nice owners, nothing was too much trouble. I am away with work a lot, it’s not often I am pleased to this level. A long day and real lift when you get food. The food was bang on, cooked well and home made chips reminded me of my Mums. Not in Birmingham very often but I will be back, mixed grill was outstanding. P.S pancakes are top notch
The food is amazing. If you want to try traditional romanian food, it's definitely the place to go! The portions are huge. The restaurant has a nice layout and plenty of small cute trinkets that remind of different regions.
Exceptional hospitality - genuinely cannot remember more attentive and personal service. The food was excellent with very generous portions. Lovely atmosphere. A wonderful Romanian evening!
I am not Romanian but come with my boyfriend who is and his family. I always enjoy the experience and the food is wonderful. The servers are lovely and the food is definitely value for money
A lovely, friendly environment and staff. Every time I've been I've thoroughly enjoyed my meal - the chef is great and everything is cooked fresh and from scratch. It is always reassuring when you can see into the kitchen as it shows their confidence in the quality and hygiene of the place. Staff willing to explain what everything is for those, like me, who are not familiar with Romanian cuisine. Highly recommend, I'm becoming a regular!!
My sister took me to this place and the food was delicious. It was made fresh so there was a little bit of a way which they tell you about but so worth it because it was so tasty. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend you do not leave this place without trying the side potatoes and dessert doughnuts because they are perfection.
