   A fantastic go to for breakfast, lunch or dinner with like minded people about cars or with family and friends. We've been members and visited the motorist for years and its one of our favorite places to go all year round. The shop is also well worth a visit.

   Just had New Year’s Day lunch at The Arnage restaurant and it was lovely! Had a starter of salmon and prawns that was really fresh and light and one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in a long time. Beautiful roast beef and pork and lovely roast potato and veg. Great atmosphere, great service - we’ll definitely be back!

   Coming to the Motorist periodically to look around at nice cars, and motorbikes, sit on the balcony with a pint of cold beer, enjoy the view and decide to try some food. And it's so disappointing compared to the price. Fish and chips for £15- don't need to describe as you can see it in the picture. My East Coast Chowder is £18, where the menu says “mussels, clams, PRAWNS” etc.. The taste was good, but for this price found only one prawn cut into 3 pieces, 4 clams and 5 mussels. Customer service does not exist at all and no one clears the tables to sit new customers. We will be back, but definitely not to the restaurant.

   I can't believe I haven't discovered this venue until now! Not far from me, this is a fantastic, alternative event space that would be perfect for a Naming or Wedding celebration. The space is filled with motor related memorabilia and cars which makes it a great choice for anyone with an interest in automobiles! However, with great food and stunning panoramic views from the function room upstairs, this has something to offer everyone!

   Travelled a fair distance for us to try a new restaurant only to be spoilt by the chef's decision to alter the recipe of sticky sausages to normal pigs in blankets, but was then excelled with the main course cooked to perfection, not for people expecting full plates as this is less is more food, waiting staff and manager were brilliant and the restaurant was very clean, Brucie bonus being the cars on show for anyone loving vintage motors this is a must, a few tweaks and this would be 5* all round

   We were here about a month ago for a car show at the Motorist. The menu looked really good, unfortunately we were unable to eat as we had not booked. The one star review is for the way the member of staff relayed this. Extremely rude, actually horrified how I was spoken to in front of other customers. We have actually booked breakfast and lunch for the next event. Hopefully we will have a better experience this time going off the other reviews. Would not be giving them a second chance if we did not already have tickets booked for the next event. Update Aug 2022 I'd like to give 5 stars but it appears I can't leave 2 reviews so I'll update here. Complete opposite to our previous visit. Staff were friendly and food was delicious. I had avocado toast for breakfast which was seasoned beautifully with a perfectly poached egg (something not all restaurants can manage!). At lunch I had the sirloin steak and passion fruit tart for dessert. All seemed good value for the quality too. We spend around £50 pp for both breakfast and lunch including dessert! Lovely venue and the toilets are always nice and clean which isn't always the case at car meets/shows! Will book again next year!
