   Dined here on the 15/2/23 at a birthday day celebration. Firstly the starter wasn’t to bad but I’ve had much better but the main course not nice it was only luke warm when I raised concern was offered for it to be warmed up which I dont think was appropriate no offer of another fresh cooked meal no apology no refund offered I didn’t eat it I paid and left won’t be returning and won’t be recommending this place to anyone. Very disappointed

   Bangla Cottage is one of the highest rated curry houses in the area. This place is bring your own alcohol. Cheap off license next door if needed. Good Points: * Food was of excellent quality. Authentic and rich in flavour. * Good value for money with curry dishes starting from £6.95 * We were given a free starter platter and desserts for the wait encountered. * The hosts were friendly in their manner. * Portion sizing of food was generous. Bad Points: * Service was very slow. Only 3 tables on cover on a Friday night and yet it took 30-45 minutes for any food orders to come. The host forget our drinks order on several occasions. Observations showed them stood around at the bar talking and dealing with delivery drivers and collection orders to which these were delayed also. I had seen them offer a drink to these customers on the wait. With such quiet trade, this wait was unacceptable. * Small parts of our order were missing. Had to prompt to get missing items. * Cheese naan was simply naan with sprinkled cheese on top. It was not melted or cooked wihtin the naan like most restaurants. Overall we would be hesitant to visit again based on the experience we had on a quiet Friday night.

   Surprisingly the higher rated BC appears to be a bit quieter than it's nearby competitors. I am not sure why this should be as I couldn't find fault with anything. Each to their own I guess but if you haven't tried it I feel you might be missing out. The decor and cleanliness is one of the best in the black country let alone the local area. I would also add that my pathia was the best I have ever had. The wife was equally impressed with her meal. The only thing I feel could have been improved were the chips, but even then few places would be better. The prices are very competitive, helped by the ability to take your own alcohol.

   Excellent food . Have a very high spice tolerance so was looking for something spicy. Had the Chicken Sashlik and Lamb Naga both of which were incredible . It’s not the run of the mill Indian food - it was unique , flavourful and just absolutely scrumptious . Definitely reasonably priced and impeccable service

   1st visit at the Bangla Cottage with colleagues Words cant express how wonderful the food is n the staff were exceptional. The restaurant is modern n very clean with new dishes on the menu that most surrounding restaurants dont have available. With me being a Asian I'm very fussy when I eat out. Kobir the owner was very helpful with serving my food the way I wanted to my liking. The food tasted as good as it looked. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to people who enjoy good quaand ity food in modern dining paying a fair price

   I wasn't too impressed with this place... definitely wouldn't recommend nor go in again. I'm absolutely shocked at the rating being so high but can totally understand why...looks like they get alot of repeat custom which I could see were getting the five star treatment. Gave some feedback as to the fact that salt had been missed out on one of the dishes the response was classic "the chef doesn't like to add salt in his food" hmm no salt in curry establishment. As u can see below photo the oil was just oosing out of the deep fried fish. And the very dismal curry I cannot comment further. I definitely felt the service was terrible compared to the service I could see my neighbors were getting perhaps I should have eaten my salt free dish n said nothing.
