First time eating here and was really impressed with the food we collected for takeout and the value for money. The lamb chops were particularly good. Friendly guys too.

Never go here again, the food was the worst I had ever had and wouldn’t even food a pet rat the left overs. Went to the toilet with a lantern which to be honest was a very laughable experience. The dishes we had all tasted the same. The side dishes came once I had finished our main meal. Our starter plates were not cleared until after all our main dishes arrived which was just plonked on our table. A member of our group was sick after 15 minutes of leaving the restaurant. A very bad experience avoid at all costs.

Had a bit of an issue trying to order online. Called them and they were extremely helpful and order got sorted. Food was delivered hot and we really enjoyed it. Will order again. Teething problems with technology is to be expected.

Another name change and new owner, the Double Masalla is the latest in a long line of restaurants to occupy these premises. It's been over 25 years ago since I first ate in this building. Wishing to avoid the crowd (and Covid) the wife and I returned last Friday and the experience was great. The room is clean and tidy, yes there are a few rough edges but it's a very old building. We received super service from a very polite and friendly waitress, overseen by a gentleman who is arguably one of the founding fathers of the Birmingham / Black Country "Indian" restaurant trade. All Lye High St restaurants are very quiet at the moment (the parking restrictions not helping) and need support, personally I don't think you could do better than by starting here. The experience was great, from the poppadoms right through to the bill. If you do opt for the Handi, as I did, then you may want to ask for the thick sauce version but either way you will have to wait 5 minutes for it to cool down. The chicken within was superb. The wife was highly impressed with her ridiculously cheap balti, I suggest you need look no further on the menu but we will be back to try some of the other dishes. There was nothing wrong with our sides either. There is a very convenient car park at the rear but remember to register your car registration. You can take your own alcoholic drinks, alternatively there is an off licence next door.

newly decorated in tasteful style. Superb food at an amazing price. Very friendly and polite service. Would definitely recommend you try it. Plus it is dog friendly. Can't wait to go back.

The food was freshly cooked and the subtle blend of spices made for a very flavoursome meal. It was foul weather outside and the restaurant looked amazing but the food gave this place volume. The service was friendly and efficient by a polite young lady .If you are considering trying and you should for the food alone,

We were disappointed when we went Monday and Anvi was closed. So we tried again last night Tuesday. We had an excellent meal, it was a delight because the meal was how we remembered it from months ago. The decor has changed it is more contempary now with linen table cloths and napkins. Well done everyone and keep up the great cuisine.
