   Worst Sunday lunch we have experienced. Family get together, 4 of us ordered either beef or turkey. Food was cold, peas so old they had shrivelled, mashed potatoes dried out, roasted potatoes tough as was the cold Yorkshire pudding. Meat was thin sliced piled to look as though there was more than there was (approximately 80p worth from Morrisons). We were told this pub served good meals but needless to say we won’t be back.    Called tonight after work and greeted with a lovely warm welcome. The ladies working this evening couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. I had a lovely Yorkshire tea within minutes. We ordered Pie with mash and a Mac and Cheese both came with just a short wait and was lovely, comfort, home cooked food. We highly recommend the Lord Gascoigne and will be returning In the future.

   Arrived at 3pm on Friday to have dinner with my 2 year old. Really drunk man was shouting loudly about the man he beat up and going on bragging about it whilst punching the table repeatedly as he shouted this was like him punching the man. The man was being completely antisocial and intimidating. I didn’t feel safe staying with my kid so left quickly and went to the other big chain down the high street which was absolutely fine. There is no point in having high chairs in the pub if your clientele are so drunk they can’t prevent themselves from punching tables at 3pm as it’s not a safe space for families to visit.

   A busy Sunday and as expected had to wait food the food to be delivered and had the large Sunday roast dinner but it was tasty and hot. Only thing that was not up to scratch was the Mashed potato but everywhere you go it's a hard thing to get it like at home. The staff were all polite and very helpful. So I would give it a try

   Never come here but after trying the food we will defo be back! The food was really good and there is alot of choice too. Great choice on drinks as well as soft drinks. A great amount of deals avalible too. Large pub with a large beer garden and parking. Our last visit we paid via tesco club card vouchers too.
